i think 4 years is too short personally.

idk what the right sentence would be but 4 just seems wayy too short for 3 deaths and wiping out an entire families kids.

I can guarantee you it's not 4 years, that's a lifetime that she will never forget.

Media will also do anything for a story. They’d never tell you she was sobbing in her truck, hysterical, or calling everyone she knew for help.

But everything you read on the internet is true, right?

I recall something of that nature. Dark and the biggest debate at that Time was that people had complained about that bus stop before because the children had to cross that road to get to the bus stop. Which is completely ridiculous to expect young children to do so safely.

There was a video about 1.5yrs ago of police pulling drivers over for failing to yield to a school bus a total of 4-6 lanes of highway-velocity traffic away, entitled something like "drivers finally brought to justice!!". No, you've failed the children making them sprint across the equivalent of I-95 in Georgia to board a fucking school bus each morning.

There was a string of these accidents about that time, and it was great cause for concern. One of the many reasons my wife and I decided we want to raise our children in a subdivision/ cul de sac

Good call! Maybe it's a regional thing, but I've never heard of children having to cross more than 2 lanes of suburban-speed-limit roads to get to their bus.
Crossing 4+ lanes of traffic at 50mph+ is utter insanity.

School bus road etiquette, im pretty sure is one of the first things when learning how to drive in any state...... prayers sent out to the family, I cant imagine what they are going through.

What I don't get is where was the bus driver? Even when I went to school we eventually had the stop arms with flashing lights. But if kids had to actually cross a road, the bus driver was required to get out with a hand held stop sign and ensure traffic was stopped BEFORE allowing the kids to cross from the other side. I don't know why this wouldn't be the case everywhere.

Me neither, i have seen drivers on the other side of traffic get pissed off when they have to stop for a school bus. Saw one guy honking his horn because the car in front of him was stopped. Almost thought about getting out and beating the side of his BMW with my 3 iron.
