Hi Rob, The back is about the same. Had an appointment for an MRI on Saturday but relying on modern technology to remind me of the time it let me down and missed the appointment:facepalm:. The appointment was at 2:00 and I thought it was at 4:00 and my calendar on my phone never reminded me :goingcrazy:. I now am scheduled for this coming Saturday:fingerscrossed:. I hope it shows no issues so I can start getting back to normalcy(sp.). How are you and the family doing? All ready for Christmas
. Enjoy the time with the family.

 Thoughts and prayers the MRI shows nothing of too great a concern and you're just on a long recovery. Doesn't take much in the back to cause pain and discomfort. Working with folks, some of whom loaded airplanes an entire career, I know far too many with back issues.

Doing good, heading for great when the grandkids get here Saturday evening. Kristi and I are really looking forward to being with them. Are you and yours doing the cabin getaway this year?

Take care Ken, I'll check back in here sooner than later.;)

We were up over Thanksgiving weekend and closed it up for the winter. We will open up in the spring. This year was a little different because they opened antlerd deer season on Saturday this year. We will be spending Christmas with family and friends at home. A couple of folks from Australia that we met in Bali are coming in on the 22nd and after Christmas we will be taking them all around and showing them the sites. They leave on January 13th and 5 days later we head on,vacation. Life is good...
I am glad to hear that you and Kristi will be having a very Happy Christmas with the Grand Kids. Makes for a terrific Holiday.
    :woot: for the G-kids. Enjoy.

OMG you should hear me get up lately. I don't creak or crack. I clunk! It's either the hip or the knee. I hope...

Power went out again today. Trees icing up, branches and more coming down everywhere. I have to remember to add "generator" to my "things to be thankful for" list. Oh and I should thank my neighbor for buying one of those fancy automatic ones, so I know when the street power comes back on. :anonymous:

    Good morning Susan, gang,
The other day while trying to track down the/a source for a musty smell I've had for months, discovered a hole in my bathrooms built in laundry hamper (think mobilehome type), where my remodeler had burnt a hole when changing the plumbing for a shower. He did nothing to plug or repair it. Will have to fix that, a different musty smell, like a crawl space or cellar smell. Smelled my drains, dog bed, under the kitchen sink, front load washing machine, etc. Have suspected my plastic container that I dump coffee grounds in, so moved it outside, seems to have taken care of the musty smell as I don't get hit with the smell when coming back inside after being out for awhile. I'll have to get a sealed container to temporarily dump grounds in until I can dump them on my compost pile.
More snow yesterday, just a couple more inches on top of the couple we had received o/n. Back to a light drizzle last night.

    Hello and Merry Christmas!
I can't remember if I have posted in this thread yet (I blame that on being over 60, ie. getting old)?
I have posted in the 50+ thread, but that was over two years ago, lol. My age is now 62 and I can't believe how quickly I got here! Why do the years go by quicker the older you get? Was Einstein right... that it is all relative?
Let me know what you would like me to contribute here.
My Tacoma is a 2010 double cab 4WD Off Road TRD. It has 123,600 miles on the odometer. It is my daily driver, although I don't drive it every day! The primary place I go four wheeling is in Baja California, Mexico and the Borrego Desert, east from where I live in San Diego County.
I am a writer, with a book about the old Spanish missions in Baja California (at www.oldmissions.com or Amazon) and a nearly monthly article published online about travel and history in Baja California. Here they all are: https://www.bajabound.com/bajaadventures/bajatravel/
My main business has been landscape irrigation (drip and sprinkler systems), going back 39 years. I am almost retired fully from that but still can do small jobs or consulting.
Thanks to my writing it has allowed me to guide TV show crews to historic sites. I was on Travel Channel's America Unearthed: 'Vikings in the Desert' (with Scott Wolter) and ABC's World of X Games: 'Trail of Missions' (with Cameron Steele) this year. The recon episodes for Trail of Missions is on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FGbWpNvP-kI Cameron (winner of the 2018 Baja 1000, Trophy Truck class) was really cool in featuring me and my book in the five short YouTube episodes.
Have a great New Year... Can you believe it is going to be 2020???!!!

    Welcome David,
We talk about little and big stuff here, very forgiving group and decent replies, unlike some other threads.
Be sure to pull up a chair and stock the cooler on the porch.

Welcome from a 71 year old that still hangs out in here. I started the thread back in 2011 and as you said " I can't believe how quickly I got here!" I say the same thing every time I look in the mirror. Enjoy the group of great folks and sit and stay awhile.

I am very satisfied with my bucket list being nearly empty and the number of people I have helped over the years. Thanks for the comment.

Never saw the Stones. I saw Hendrix, and I saw the Who do 'Tommy', and a bunch of others but those were highlights.

I never saw the Stones either, but I did see Paul Revere and the Raiders between games of a double header at Shea Stadium New York...4 years ago saw Crosby, Stills and Nash at the Borgata Casino. Good show, but boy did they get old. LOL:rofl:
