Debated a Canyon and ZR2. Was concerned about the reliability. I've had my limited for a year and it's been great. Kind of wish I would have went with the Pro but I don't offroad at all and the bed usually just carries my mountain bike or golf clubs/cart.

Pretty sure that will do it. Our trucks are not super efficient to begin with anyway, 3.5 is about 25-30% better on gas but still.

Ah yes I considered a Tesla as well. But the one I wanted, I wouldn't have been able to afford new so I passed on it.

Always been a car guy, but having a truck is convenient. So I decided to stick with a truck with the plan to build a muscle car in the future.

I'm not a truck guy. I wanted a reliable and practical off road vehicle, which pretty much meant Toyota. I debated Taco vs 4R, and Taco won.

I absolutely love my Taco, but I wouldn't drive a truck if I weren't offroading.

I love the way the new sti drives. My wife and I were curious to see how much the dealer would give us for trade in on our 2005 WRX STi (low mileage and 100% stock) towards a new 2020 sti. Dealer came back with an appraisal of $5,000. We asked for our keys and left laughing. What a joke.

Frontier Pro-4X, but ultimately wanted a more modern interior, a better looking exterior, better resale, and better fuel economy.

The 3.6 is a dog compared to the 2.0. Guys just can’t get over the I4 vs. V6. Much like the V6 ecoboost vs. V8 that’s usually in those trucks. IMO, the $1500 for the 2.0 is a no brainer upgrade.

As to the topic at hand. I didn’t consider any other truck for this purchase. I wanted voodoo blue so my only debate was ‘19 Pro or ‘20. Ended up with a ‘20 since I already had plans to replace all the valuable Pro parts (suspension and wheels mainly).

I was looking at 2nd gen Tacomas and 4th+5th gen 4Runners. I considered a newer Honda CRV with the touring package but I knew a truck was what I wanted. I couldn't find any Tacomas in the colour I wanted, or configuration that I wanted. My area seems to have a ton of TRD sports but no one gives up their offroads for trades. A 4th gen 4Runner would've been really cool too but they're really rare around here. I think I've only ever seen one in the wild which was at the dealership and a V8. Didn't want the gas hog, and I don't need a V8.

If Subaru was still making the WRX in a hatchback I probably would have got that.

Nice, a lot a various in choices everyone. For the most part, it definitely looks like primary truck choices (obviously) but I like seeing the other options. I mainly wanted something that would be roomy enough for a family, but also be able to go snowboarding or camping when the time comes, so the Tacoma or other midsize trucks or SUVs would've fit that bill.

I really wanted a 2nd gen 2014-15, but everything that was for sale locally was the wrong configuration in the high twenties.

If we were to put a price on it, it would be $15k minimum. Don't think we will get rid of it, but if someone offered us 15k, we would highly consider it.
