Just ordered! Love the idea of not needing a new switch or plate! Great idea!

Taco Garage also confirmed that part comes with a 2-year warranty. They will also handle any warranty claims, no need to deal with the manufacturer.

@FreshMexicanTaco would this work if there was a third camera added? I’d like to mount another camera above the brake light on the cab. Was thinking it would be cool to be able to scroll and view what the load in the bed of my truck is doing. (Check on straps, the dog etc)

So, I went to install the kit this afternoon and found out the camera I ordered does not fit into the stock 3rd Gen TRD Off road grill. This is the camera: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07NRN4QSX/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

This was the camera that was recommended, but I'm not blaming anyone for this other than myself. It would have taken a ruler and 30 seconds to figure this out before I ordered it. But I'm looking at the bright side... Now I get to order that TRD Pro Grill I've been wanting. But if anyone else has this camera, I would like to see a pic of where they installed it on the pro grill.

I drilled a hole off to the right of the main emblem that houses the TSS Sensor, but the way the grill "angles up" means surgery to the grill to get the base of the camera to fit flush with the hole. Since I'm going to trash the grill anyway, perhaps I'll give it a try tomorrow just to see how much work it would be and what it would look like. The hole is the red and I would have to trim away the plastic in the yellow boxes to get the base of the camera to fit. I can't put it directly in the center of grill because the sensor box behind the emblem is in the way.

Yes! I need to clean my truck. Now where did I put that hacksaw...

what sensor box are you referring to? is this part of the TSS or automatic braking or something?

Yes, the TSS housing. Perhaps box was the wrong word. If I had drilled the hole in the center, the metal bolt that the camera uses to be attached would run into one of the tabs that hold the TSS. It might be possible to cut some plastic out of the housing and make it work. But you will still have the problem of the base of the camera being too wide to mount flush with the bottom.

I have it installed on my pro. I’ll post a photo in a little bit.
And sorry I did recommend, I should have mentioned that it was not exactly made for the grilles, ideally, you find a flat surface that you can drill a hole on.

No worries. I'd probably have ordered it even if I knew it would not be an easy install. The mode switch may come in handy and the quality of the components, the spaces, the connectors you get with the kit are high.

The regular price is $139.5 after the 20% refund that would drop to $111.60 per set so youre looking at $223.2 for two sets.

I have though of this but I'm pretty sure these don't have native support for that. HOWEVER...
You could connect both the front cam output and the brake light cam output to a switch and then use that together with the steering wheel control to switch between the 3 cams. It wouldn't be as clean but it would definitely work. Add enough switches and you could have as many cams as you want.

I installed it on my pro grill yesterday (the wiring was supposed to come today but got delayed till tomorrow) Here is where mine is installed... Had to trim/sand the rectangle on the front side to get the threads and camera angled into positioned, trimmed a decent amount off the back to be able to get the nut screwed on and secured but I don't have the front cruise sensor so I didn't mind trimming. The way i installed mine is set back so its very hidden and blends in well in my opinion. I have some short videos on my Instagram story highlight if you (or anyone is interested) @Jukehz. Feel free to dm me and I can try to go get better photos!

This is where I have mine installed too, I have a 19 though to I do have a garnish right below it, i was wondering if putting the camera there would interfere with the radar but so far I've had zero issues
