I only bow hunt now. Love fishing and have a stocked pond on my property right behind the house. When the weather is fair and I don’t see or hear the boy for awhile odds are he’s fishing in the pond.

Agreed. Probably won’t happen. We only have a little over an acre. Love to do a stocked swimming pond, still wearing the wide down on that one. She wants an actual pool.

I will fight tooth and nail to never move again, unless it’s to a retirement home. So sick of moving.

It’s a little bit of work to maintain but pays back in great rewards. Really lucky here as I’m sitting on twelve wooded acres with the pond, very large heated workshop, and a three bedroom home. It’s perfect in every way except one. It’s in Illinois.

I told my wife that after I get my kidney we can move again, my hopes are to go back to Australia but she’s one of thirteen kids and wants to go back to Texas to be near them. But with the way things are getting in Illinois I’m starting to weigh the option of just getting out now while we can before what we have is worthless.

I’d like to go back to Utah again as I found allot of serenity there. Plus it would really help stoke my sons love for the outdoors allot more with so many outdoor activities within easier reach.

No kidding. My Texas people are all in the hill country and a place like this would be way out of our price range but I bet it would be sweet. I’ve inherited one hundred hectares of land - nearly 250 acres - from family in Australia and with the sale of all of the stuff here in the states I could have better than this with cash leftover plus the income from sheep grazing. Near Arnhem Land which is beautiful remote Australia reserved and managed by aboriginal tribes. Similar to Native American reservations here in the states.

Wife has MSgt pension coming and is currently DoD civilian and close to early retirement time. Weighing all the options is difficult with such a major medical issue in the way. Time will tell and in the end I’m certain that we will all be happy, I just don’t want to have anything to do with this state or the ones like it ever again.

Don't be a tard. You'll be happier unless you're miserable. Sounds obvious until you're in the middle of nowhere.

Tried explaining to a Major that if the CRAM engages overhead, the IDF wasn't going to hit you anyway.

Nothing funnier then Fobbits sprinting out of the DFAC, even leaving tables and weapons on the floor.

Eh... doesn’t matter either way. After 04(ish) there were very few second strikes. At least any places I was.

"Peace talks" have ramped things up as of late. It has actually felt like a combat zone at Bagram over the past few months.

I hear ya, I’m not young enough to just mount up and roll but there are days that I wish I could. I can be in the middle of woop woop in the NT and still be able to get everywhere. Allot of my ppl will cross over and grass/dirt strips are easy to register and maintain. Only down side is during the wet season until you get your drainage right.
