They'll definitely be brighter then stock, if you’re that easy to please you should be happy. If need be the filter could be modified to your liking

Still NO RAGRETS with the brightest, glare free lights available (pending DD testing, they look good as well). No filter required. The fix is really so bad it's not even funny. I agree with the horizontal restriction on width. However, I'm sure if it's wider it will increase the glare brightness and not pass the testing. Either way a huge fail.

So if I was looking for yellow/amber upgrades from stock, would I be better off with SS3 or KC G4?

I love my new truck but miss my Tacoma
Is this true? Are the Rigids the brightest fogs available?

Until the release of the Diode Dynamics fogs, Rigid D-series had the highest intensity output and are the highest intensity lights that I have tested. Diode Dynamics specs state their Sports are equivalent to the D-series in intensity, and the Pros are higher, both with a much wider horizontal spread than Rigid D-series (52 degrees vs 80 degrees). I have not tested to confirm yet.

Looking back at the picture they di have a more hard cutoff as you said on the sides. I'll know Monday morning how they perform. Was on different roads last night but the upward light that use to light up signs and other reflection surfaces has been reduced. The little blockers in the lens dont look to bad, kinds look like robot eyes to me. As far as light output it seems less due to a smaller opening but I'll let Crashnburn answer that in his testing and others when the my get there kits on. I still like the look of BD lights in my truck but may end up going with Diode Dynamics if they make a kit for my truck or RI lights just for the performance.

Selective yellow is more preferable than amber. You get much higher intensity output and better contrast with selective yellow providing better visibility while still retaining the long wave length performance benefits in poor weather.

A decade or so ago I lived in a rural area and spent a lot of time and money on custom mounting driving lights, upgrading with 130w bulbs, wiring relays, aiming them for maximum distance and setting up a three way switch to trigger them with just high beams or when I flipped the switch manually.

Now I’m in an urban area and rarely use the high beams. More often using the fogs when it’s foggy or rainy. With time for hobbies limited, I think it’s time to splurge a bit on something I will actually use fairly often.

I’m considering ordering 2 sets of DD SAEs while there’s still sales to be had, i have a road armor bumper on my 16 ram with 4 light pockets and really don’t need any more distance lighting since I’m putting my 40” hi power on the bumper and XL80s/S1s on ditch brackets.

would it blind oncoming traffic to run 4x SAEs in the bumper?
