Yup, the part of the state north of the Goldilocks zone (where the county commissioners are *insert off colored political affiliation*) and everyone owns a massive stockpile of 556 / 223

I feel better whenever I’m West of the ID state line, for obvious reasons.

Yah the unemployment insurance for more than 10-weeks is a major turn off. Along with the ocean, legal chucklebrush, no income tax / sales tax. They’re both the pits.

Compared to So ca. Idaho seems to be an incredibly beautiful place to live out the rest of my life.
I’m trying to get all my friends to move their, 2 already have. Where would suggest is a better place to live. And it can’t have to many rainy days.

Maybe that's just the Colorado in me. When I moved to CO a bit over 10 years ago I noticed that people here tend to define or describe by geography. I remember thinking it was very weird but after a couple years I picked up the same habits.

Excuse me, maybe you don't know who I am. When I ask a question, I expect an answer, or at the very least a comment. Sooner rather than later.
(Grammarly tone detector 'beta' has detected this as an accusatory and negative.)
I love you all and cherish our time together. I have never met a group of guys so deserving of my admiration, (hey getting the thumbs up).
I stayed home from my usual golf day to help my wife around the house. But I digress.

:fistbump: Boise is "high desert" so a bit drier there. CDA does get dry in the summer/early fall but its still pretty place to live. Im partial to the CDA area, still getting crowded though.

Like I said before when I went up there for a small seminar a few years ago I IMMEDIATELY fell in love with the area. Then I researched the climate and thought, yeah I think I could do that. I grew up here and only left in my 20's for 1 year to Seattle. 9 months of rain???, to many cloudy days. But the 'good' summer I was there It was spectacular. Green everywhere, tall trees, etc. As I always say "you can't have everything".

Boise...It’s pretty much California. It’s sunny and 60° with no rain until about October 31 every year. There is also a killer inversion in the valley during the winter, a heavy cloud of “Nothing” that hangs overhead for months at a time.

Like So. California it hardly ever rains, there is awful traffic due to poor infrastructure to handle the population influx that has overwhelmed the area during the past decade.

The area will need a massive overhaul to handle the exponential growth. 2-lane roadways won’t be able to accommodate the endless housing developments that are marching ever outward....but again that’s not news to you.

I’d recommend dumping those out of state plates immediately...the locals won’t take kindly to them.
