20 and sunny is my sweet spot. Warm enough to work and enjoy your day, but still keep the snow!

Yeah I wasn't complaining. I like to see the updates, keeps things interesting around here. There was a stretch this fall where it seemed like he had a new one everyday!

Hit up Jiminy to actually ski this time for about 3 hours today. Skiing was great! What a day out there now that the sun is up.

Skied there yesterday. Snow was great. High I saw on the 6pack temp gauge was 9 or 10.

As the new guy do you have to work Christmas?

Only day I wasn't there this week!

It was cold like that this morning, I don't think the sun hit many of the trails I was on today before I left. I didn't run into any ice and Jerhico (sp) didn't have any moguls and was nice and smooth which I hear is a rare thing.

I was just looking up old celtic traditions to try to bring some of the pagan out of me. Looks like I'm burning a wood pile or two tonight. Might have to text the fire chief to let him know he better not persecute me for my religious beliefs tonight :rolleyes:

    Amen Brother.
    :amen:

I love the idea of solstice. I have been "celebrating" it for quite a few years now....along with other traditions of course.
    It makes sense. :D

I've celebrated the summer one more than the winter. Used to have a friend around here who had a friend who always through a HUGE party for the summer one, so I'd tag along.

That same friend is back from CO as of last night, and was going to stop by with his wife this afternoon....Might have to recruit him to stick around a little for a fire and some dinner.

You guys got anything fun planned today!

Nice. I haven't really celebrated a summer one. I think I may start doing more. With the end of the school year it is always a mad rush.
We usually have a nice dinner and exchange gifts (no wrapping...."hold out your hands and close your eyes"). Before kids, I liked to make a point to be out in the woods someplace for the day. They are getting older now, so I will start getting them out there with me.

I like the fire idea. May have to include that idea into our celebration.
