Fucked up my back yesterday, right before vacation. Fucking great... Just great.

OH, the weather outside is frightful...

 

I tweaked it picking up a bag of pellets for the pellet stove on Thursday, and really fucked it up yesterday picking up a bag of sand for a sand box to take to the wife's job.

Never had any back problems aside from being sore from shoveling, until now.

 

Had an interesting convo last week. My tire guy is planning shop reno's in the spring. He's going to be selling off some lifts, so I told him I'm interested & let me know when things are about to happen. Hoping to get a working shop quality used lift at consumer quality lift price. But to get full value from a lift, well I need more height in the garage (duh).
My garage is concrete block walls with a roof sitting on it built off a bolted on rim joist system.
Anyone know anyone (or is someone who) can unbolt, raise, layer a couple rows of block, lower & rebolt, & add 2 panels to the door - guy/girl?
OH - anyone know someone who can remove the antenna/mast off the top of the roof? Wind finally won the battle & I'm flummoxed how to get up there & remove it. Porch blocks a ladder, ground is covered in ice if someone wanted to go up the side & reach over the edge & hella no that's not going to be me doing that up there! LOL. I'll post a pic later. Pretty RUT-ROH!

 

And forever more you'll have to be careful. Sounds like someone is approaching their 40's....

I put the new horns in, then decided they were too high pitched on their own. So I put the stock ones back in and wired them all together and now it sounds pretty damn good!

 

Heating pad..trust me. Cupcake has terrible back issues.

Regarding back pain, heat definitely helps but takes a few days. Threw mine out maybe 10 years ago and its been happening ever since due to the littlest things. Like sneezing or reaching across a table or just standing up from a seated position. Stretching every day, like yoga stuff has helped fend it off for a year and a half now.

Aging sucks. Since I hit my forties: orthotics, reading glasses, back and joint pain, sist on my head, elbow surgery, tooth implant, balding and getting fat.
