SPC Ball Joint Installation

Well, that's embarrassing. I thought I did my homework before I ordered them. Makes sense now that they don't fit. Thanks for everyone's time.

 

We've all made silly mistakes along our build journey trust me! If you haven't, you probably have a shop do all your work... shit happens

 

Did you buy the ball joints from this seller? If so call them and arrange for a return citing incorrect application data.

 

It wasn't them, but since I buggered up the threads, I think I'm stuck with these now.

 

Order the correct 25001s and sell the remaining good one 25002 on Kijiji / FB Marketplace / TW Buy & Sell section? What do you do with all your other serviceable but unwanted parts?

 

Worth a shot, must be someone out there that needs a ball joint.

 

yup. There is a reason why there are two different part numbers for 4 runners vs tacomas. The shape of the taper on the spindle is different which will not allow them to seat properly.

Live, learn, buy the right part numbers (reference the mfg website) and move on.

 

Yep. I'm usually pretty diligent when it comes to this kind of thing. I'm not sure how I messed this one up. Like you said, live and learn.
