I have a sr 4x4 dcsb. I got some wheels and tires for it. I decided to go with lvl 8 mk6. Its a 16x8.5 wrapped around a bfg ko2 265/70/16. No rubbing issues at full lock on stock suspension. Im ready to lift the truck but idk how much lift i want with the size tire i have.

Do some reading, compare other builds, spend some time. Then ask the question.

With a 265/70/16 I would recommend a 1” to 1.5” level/lift. If you go much taller you’ll be looking for bigger tires. So many decisions.......

Im surprised you arent rubbing right now. Must be a tight fit
Are you looking for looks or performance in a lift? And are you looking at under $1000 or $2000?

If you are going for looks, you can get spacer lifts for cheap...depending on who is doing the labour, maybe $500

Least headaches is 1-2" of lift.

I'm at 1.5" at the front,
with a a comparable tire size.
and am at 36" ground to fenderwell all round.

As much as $ will allow
Kudos for admitting that. IMHO 1” isn’t enough room to when going off-road or pushing it a little more.

I saw a lifted 17 with 265/70/16 near my house.

I thought it looked pretty weird. Bigger tires are needed.
