My new 2020 TRD OR DCSB has the 16" Goodyear Kevlars on it,and for the life of me I cant drive this truck in a straight line on the highway. At 115kph(70mph) it seems it is constantly wandering, especially if you are on a highway that has had a lot of heavy truck traffic and has slight rutting.I shuttle cars around for a couple dealerships and last week I drove a new TRD DCLB Sport, with 17s and a less aggressive tire,it tracked straight and true.I cant really see this as being an alignment issue, the truck is only a month old and has 2000kms on it,and hasn't had any suspension hits.Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this?

Vehicles can be out of alignment from the Factory, I would start with getting the alignment checked.

    this.

I’ve had two alignments done. Trucks seem to be a little sensitive to this

I had to take my new truck to an alignment shop (not a tire shop) to get it aligned by people who know what they are doing. Two trips to the dealer only resulted in “in spec according to Toyota”.

it cost me $120, but the truck tracks straight ever since.

Take it in and have the dealer check the alignment numbers. Sounds like toe could be way out. Look for damage from transport truck rigging.
Was it like that since you got it?

Also, beside alignment check. Play with tire pressures. I found mine rides and tracks best with 35 psi.

My dealer always over inflates my tires and that causes my truck to wander at high speeds. I deflate to 32 PSI which drives at 35 PSI when the tires warm up after driving for a bit and that has been the sweet spot for ride quality and gas mileage.

Yeah..its been like this since new...initially I thought it was me,just not accustomed to the new truck, but since driving another new one that tracked straight and true...I've been blaming it on the tires...maybe I should take it in to an independent shop I know and get it checked.

I don't think its the road...its just much worse on high truck traffic roads where it is obviously rutted.

Both are Stock - built correct from the start.
My tire places and dealer always over inflate mine also. My truck is stock so I point out the psi sticker on the door frame as I deflate the tires in their parking lot using my digital gauge. When over inflated the truck does wander. That being said, and it may be my imagination, it seems my fronts are wearing the outer edges. I'll have to watch.

They aren't over-inflated if you can trust the readout in the center display.

What does the center display say the psi is?

could also be you have a tire with a broken bead or damaged sidewall. Rotate tires and see if it still drifts. FYI I run my tires at 34psi cold. other than that I'd say alignment.

Sounds like it's tramlining. Increasing pressure can makes it worse. Excessive camber and/or toe can make it worse. Tire design can play a major role in how much is felt.

I agree with the tramline comment. I bought a used mustang convertible a couple of yrs ago, it did the same thing only much much worse. I put new tires on it and had it aligned at the same time. Not sure which cured it.

So I had the truck in to the dealer today. The toe was off slightly, I didn't get a before and after printout so I don't know by how much. Took it for a short highway ride and it seems better. Maybe the placebo effect. I'll be taking some longer highway drives over the next week, so we will see.

my 20 Sport needs an alignment tweak to resolve a very minor drift to the right issue, but the dealer will not align the truck under warranty until the vehicle has at least 1,500 miles. A different dealer’s service dept told me the same thing about the mileage and warranty alignment.
