I just got just got home from having the avh-1500nex installed. I could have probably did it myself but a, been going to the same dude for 30 years. B he really knows his stuff. C if anything ever goes wrong he stands behind his work and makes it right no charge. Thrilled to death with the backup camera. No more oops there’s the wall. It’s too late to be out in the cold dark trying to get the phone paired, I’ll do it In the morning.

Honestly, it wasn’t a lot of fun. Basically could only look forward without getting sick. Every part of my body hurt afterwards. I was so tense and was hyper focused the whole time.

Car was a ‘92 325is with a motor out of an M5 and two Dinan superchargers. Transmission was regeared for freeway speed runs. Racing ground effects, racing gas, and help from a great shop. It was slower off the line than my Taco, but ludicrous speed at the top end.

I wanted as much sound deadening as possible, but I also wanted to retain heat/cool since the skin of the cab isn't very thick nor insulated.

Make sure you put some better bulbs in them.
The stock ones are hot garbage.
I put these in the low beams https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07VDZT2RP/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Morimoto 2.0 in the high beams.
Still haven't switched them around to see if there is any difference.

Did you install your rails or did your shell already have them? Looks great.

Took the Tacoma to the car wash for the underbody wash.
After the snow/ice storms recently, and with the crap the State/City's put on the roads my White truck had a matching underside.

    Fixed it .

The truck is Fluid Filmed and I don't need to drive much during the winter, but I got caught short and had to drive through the snow , ice , and the applied crap on the road.

I'll sleep better to night , warm spell 45+ the next few days.

Everyone have a great Christmas ,or whatever doctrine you follow during this holiday season.

I added the rails from Yakima. Bought the 55" ones and cut them down. I also added more holes so it was sturdier

Threw on some Christmas lights last night. Looped a multi color 100 light string around the border of the tonneau cover and then a 6ft x 4ft multi color net with 150 bulbs to cover the middle of the tonneau cover. Pretty happy with how it came out actually. And the best part is if you haven’t done the 400 watt anytime mod yet your truck will still handle the two strings together. It comes out to 102 watts but works perfectly fine on my truck while driving.

edit: first picture was before I put the net in the middle.

Love them! ... and they feel absolutely amazing.

Lol that's my only complaint about the seats ... but I got such a good deal on them that I really can't complain.

    Today's mischief
    20191222_105001.jpg
I was really disappointed at first blaming my illnesses on my inability to fully compress my rivet gun. So I came up with this idea (I didn't have 2 pieces of pipe lol)
    20191222_105011.jpg
and when I got done I noticed my rivet gun had bent which made me feel better about me and my medical situation.
    20191222_105019.jpg
Don't misunderstand me, I'm not complaining in any way. Anything that's riveted in I'd want the rivets to be brutally tough and these rivets definitely appeared to be exactly that.

Believe it or not they are Scion FRS seats. :D Of course Subaru BRZ or Toyota 86 would work as well.
