Toyota Paint Repair Recall

Anyone have a white 3rd gen or maybe a 2nd gen and have had problems with the paint? It sounds like it may be restricted to Tundras as this point but there is one guy in the video comments (maybe a member of this forum) who received a letter from Toyota on this matter , though they claim it was in error.

Had the tailgate repainted due to dirt under the paint.

 

My 2017 TRD OR 4x4 6MT is bad. Small rust spots, paint flaking. Pretty annoyed with the lousy job of paint they did. Hope there is help on this issue from Toyota.

 

Mines bad. They gave me a 300 dollar credit to repair it. Since I was 4 months out of warranty. Never replaced it.

 

That was probably the Chinese night shift that painted yours

 

Had some rust forming on the bed spot welds both sides but Toyota fix it under warranty for $1800 had no issues since the repair over a year ago.

 

Oh no definitely! An American would never do a bad job at anything especially painting

 

dang those are pretty bad. Im definitely taking mine into the dealer. Since im at 57k, is that still within the warranty period for this paint defect from factory?
