    What up Guys!

New Tacoma owner from SoCal I just bought my first Tacoma and wondering how I've gone this long without one. Great truck!

I bought a black 2020 TRD Pro in Black (Looks like Darth Vader) and first mod will be some new shoes -- the 265's don't do the truck justice out of the gate...

Lots of opinions on here in regards to max size, gearing, and use but I'm looking at BFG K02's 285 75r/16 -- any PRO owners running 285's on a stock body?

If so what tire's or feedback would you offer?

I want to keep it pretty close to stock and don't aggressively off road.

Daily driver, light off road, camping (southern Utah), some Snow -- but mostly a functional and awesome looking truck well suited for the zombie apocalypse or Jedi invasion.

    Thanks guys! Happy Holidays!

Check out my build thread. I am running the 285/75R16 K02... Expect your mileage to plummet. Truck rides great with no rub. They also handle about as well as a racing slick on snow because the tread doesn't conform enough to shed snow and it just packs in. Don't care, it looks great and I can beat them to death without issues.

You can run 285s stock but you will need to do some trimming and probably a Cab Mount Chop (CMC). Also, you may need wheel spacers to keep your tires from rubbing the upper control arms.

You might check out the Falken Wildpeak AT3W, they seem to be pretty popular around here and are a good deal cheaper than the BFGs. I like my General Grabber AT2s really well, but the siping only goes halfway down so if they lose their wet weather traction I'm probably just going to sell them and get a new set of the Falkens.

I'll leave the rest to the guys who actually have 3rd gen Pro's haha

BOOM. Thanks for that... answered my question about sizing. Sounds like I should invest in some chains for the snow though.

You won't get clearance with chains. I can almost guarantee you'll tear up your inner fenders and cab mount. There's probably enough room in there for a snow sock.

You won't have room for chains, but you may be able to fit a low profile cable on the rears.

And you were able to go full flex off road without rubbing? Not trying to question you, just curious.

No issues thus far. I scraped the inner fender when I hit a rut at full lock and the opposite wheel dropped. Lesson being don't do donuts in the mud. Other than that, nothing.

Nice. I have 305s on my taco, and she rubbed like crazy until I had a pretty deep CMC and a lot of plastic/metal trimming done, as well as an alignment with 4.25° of caster to push the wheels forward in the wheel wells. I also have 16x8 -12 offset wheels though.
