My partner in crime waiting in quite the line at the mall for an Ulta beauty gift card for my wife (cash so she doesnt find out beforehand) and then upgraded the families sound bar to.

Got a few goo gahs from the hustling crowd. The boots are from my wife's childhood growing up in Barrow with a 1/2 native mother.

The kids are old enough that they get the whole riding in the vehicle and traffic thing, which is nice. You’re right though, traffic does suck! I also had a sample of sweet tea moonshine while shopping-that helped take the stress edge off

think I might just poor me a glass of something to take the edge off myself. Whole family has the flu and I’ve been taking care of them the past few days. It’s been rough.

I'm kinda in the same boat. I'm 38 and my son is a freshman in high school now. I don't know if I could have had a baby at this age, they're exhausting. And before I got divorced it was like having 2 kids!

More on topic...me and the boy went to our first football game yesterday(Lions @ Broncos).

Pinewood Derby night....awesome! Those were some great times. Both my boys, 20 and 19, went all the way and earned Eagle. My oldest took his time and finished it up 1 month before he turned 18. Youngest earned his one month later, before his 17th b-day. Best advise I can give when he gets older, if still in Scouts, don’t push the advancement, it will happen. The boys are in Birmingham at the same college, Samford.
As far as today with kids, took my daughter, whose 22, to get her next to last neupogen shot for building up her white blood cells. She was diagnosed with stage 2 Hodgkin’s lymphoma in July during her first semester of grad school. She is truly a rock. Finished the semester and made all A’s. The professors decelerated the program so she could stay home for treatments and take 1 class/semester till she’s done with treatments.

Nice. Today's was the 4yo's first time on downhill skis. Went with lessons then a little dad bonus time. She's a touch timid with motions not under her control, but I think that knowing she's got her own brakes at any time is good for her. Good confidence builder for her for sure.

'dad bonus time' in this case is I tow her up to the top of the bunny slope with my ski pole and then ski with her going back down the hill, where she can grab or let go of the pole as much as she wants.

Last day for this term's swim lessons. Daughter is moving on, son needs a bit more practice. Hit the rock gym afterwards.
