Purple is alright with me, after I get the dope on it it’ll be whatever color SHE wants :D

If my back feels like it does next week it may be next Christmas before it’s done, lol.

Gotcha. My house is a 1959 home too. Same size bathroom. I went with a pedestal sink. Makes it look huge. I got all my plumbing replaced including the main under concrete slab before moving in.

We had a pedestal sink when we moved in, the wife wanted this one. It did make it look bigger and there was more leg room when sitting. I can’t stand it cause it’s too close to the toilet.

Use your old blades for cutting sheetrock. Save the newer ones for wood/metal/plastic. I use mine a ton so the blade prices really stack up quick.

The Garage-Mahal continues. Got the outlets, insulation and OSB on the walls. Decided to do a loft along the back wall.

We took 2 pieces of sheetrock back and they had a hammer and thin prybar strapped together on sale. I couldn’t find one of my hammers or my thin prybar yesterday so I got one and told the wife I needed it. She looked at both our kids and said y’all ever notice every time daddy does a project he needs a new tool?

    That’s what men do isn’t it? :D

While not quite garage-mahal size, the 8 x 15 garden shed is massive compared to the old 8 x 7 one.

I managed to put it together myself with a little help from the wife here and there.

I still have the door hardware to install but it started raining and getting dark.

Next I will add a 75 watt solar panel and marine battery to run 4 - 12v LED light strips.

They are great for cutting a lot of things. I have a 12v cordless one from HF that they don't sell anymore. I just used it today to clean up some flashing on the shed I just posted above.

Very true. I picked this switch up from the recycle bin at work while they were updating things. I can’t decide if I want to keep it or not because of noise, though. May put in a 16 port POE

When I bought my house the seller put a warranty on it. Saved me $10 after the deductible. They are all scams! IMO

    Hi fellow homeowners and builders,
I am about to insulate a (Gonna be 3/4 tongue and groove) cathedral ceiling. As most people know, you gotta keep warm moist air from infiltrating the ceiling and condensing in your insulation/roof assembly.
The usual solution is to hang and tape sheetrock between the tongue and groove and rafters. I don’t think this will work for me as I have 4’ centers from rafter to rafter (it is retrofitted from the original 2x6 construction).
I am thinking of using 3/4 foil backed polyiso board with the seams taped as an air barrier but would love some input from anybody who has done this before :)

    @OZ-T lol

Agreed. Fuck them. Fuck Fidelity in particular. A magnet for C grade and lower contractors who are paid substandard rates by the warranty company, then try to upsell you to try to make some money. From ceiling fans to complete HVAC systems, they will try to fuck you and waste your time.
