Yeah it does resemble one of those, some sort of Opera Coupe like vehicle.

 

But Cruella’s seems to be more like a Jaguar...

You were talking about shitbox GM cars in the other thread; I was behind this one in Doylestown the other day...

 

Some GM car, and they were not the least bit crappy. They were quite well-built, but suffered from the indignity of an emissions-strangled 305 V8.

 

I will one up that, these things were absolutely awful!

 

The X-body! The Citation is the best-known example. They actually weren’t bad looking, just poorly put together and cheaply made. By the time I was born in 1989 there were like none left on the roads!

 

My Dad bought the Pontiac Phoenix version of that car, I literally begged and pleaded with him not to cause I knew it would be nothing but problems.

 

Did it have A/C or was it a no-frills model?

 

I really cant remember other than it being this horribly Burgundy color inside and out, he only kept it about a year because it was so awful.

Finance or cash? I feel sorry for anybody who financed one of those turds back in the day! Automatic or manual?

 

I don't remember how he paid for it, probably financed. It was a V6 Auto, but it sputtered, bucked, and stalled and that transmission was all over the place, was a really pathetic vehicle. I honestly think it made our old 73 Gremlin look like it had Lexus reliability, lol.

 

Kinda looked like this, cant find any pictures online of that putrid Burgundy color though.
