Good morning. Work today then off for 2. We get to pull a pair of pumps out of a septic tank today. We've never had the lids off this tank in the 5 years I've been here so it's no suprise...and the timing is awesome. We've got 3 other restroom buildings down there with their own tanks so if we don't get this one finished we can keep it locked up till Thursday.

I'm sure one pump is burned up and when it failed the other pump got fouled in the screen with overflow into the screen and the screen is full of solids and wet wipes and who knows what else. My seasonal said it was up in the riser about 2" below the manhole cover. He just texted and said he put the one pump on manual and got it pumped down. Now we get to power wash the riser, get the pumps out then pull the screen. While we're there we'll switch over the attachment fitting to cam locks (banjo fittings) to make it easier for the next time. While we're there I need to get a look at the tank lid and see how thick it is. That's the same campground we replaced the lift station in last year because the lid was so thin. So this job has the potential to become a few weeks to a month long if we have to go through all that. Just never know till we get there.
