Stick a toothpick between the pillar and the dash and break it off so you can’t see the top.

That is a big time blue, if google is correct.

I always wanted a midnight blue car, but it was never available when I was buying. I do love CB / Denim and wish it was out in 2017.

Did it stay put for at least a year? Like I said above, sticky back loop tape didn't make it through summer heat since there a bit of relative motion there.

Use a razor knife or blade and trim some material from the pieces so that they no longer touch.
    It worked on my truck.8DF9C6F8-69C0-4556-A878-B1AAB975D987.jpg

i thought about bringing it to the dealership but more than likely it'll stop rattling before i get there. Therefore making my trip wasted. Its kinda one of the diy fixes i guess haha

It also worked for trimming fiberglass on the canopy.
The canopy was installed straight from side to side, and the right rear corner was also good, but the left rear corner was within a hair width of touching the paint, so I trimmed it off with a razor knife.

It is common, but dealers are limited to OEM parts and TSBs. As far as we know, there has been no update on the speaker grille or pillar trim to fix this. Beyond that, it is a 30min or less (1 beer) fix at home. Why bother wasting your time driving to the dealer and possibly getting denied. As noted by others, the interior needs to be dead cold for it to happen.

As a first step, you can insert a business card in the gap to see if it stops it. From there, it is your choice how to fix it. Sticky back loop tape works until late spring. :D You need firm, not gooey adhesives, IMO.

Interesting point. Recently when I pulled the rail caps to seal them before installing my Softopper, I found a few spots where the rail cap wore through the paint, mainly in the middle from me climbing over the side. I touched up the spots, put down foil tape, and then a good bit of silicone. There was one wear spot under the rail caps right at the spot in your picture. It looks like the corner of the rail cap was molded (trimmed?) too long.

    About here on both sides:
