Simple, but nice-lookin’ one today... @MESO smoked turn signals installed after their Black Friday sale.

Had to wait for the weather to warm up a bit, so as to ensure I didn’t crack any of the snaps on the mirror casing.

Thanks to @Bustabeatgeorge for the install video, I had mine both installed in less than 10 minutes.

I love the old land cruisers. I had a 76 and regret selling it.

For that money it's probably an on frame restoration, I'd tread lightly. Still a very sharp looking cruiser!

I don't know. We did a frame off last year, including new drum to drum front and rear Dana's, on a 1970 Bronco and only had around $20k in it. Had to pull the body anyway to get the vin off the frame. It is possible that is a frame off deal. If so that is a fair price. Then again I have seen those selling for $15k in rough shape.

I would expect a true ground up restoration would be half again to double that price. If you or I were doing it for ourself I wouldn't worry. Unfortunately when someone else and in this case especially a dealership has had a hand in it I'd be suspect. All I'm saying is I'd be very very careful buying this one. If I were considering buying this the very first thing I would do is try to figure out where it spent its life. If it came from any place other than a warm weather state then I'd walk away.
Could be wrong, it may be darn near perfect but it reminds me of the saying, "all that glitters is not gold."
It does look very nice! JMO

Finally got the last blackout overlay on my wheel. It hasn't been warm enough to get it done. While I was at it I went ahead and cleaned out the back seat where my two little booger factories sit. While I was vacuuming the passenger side rear door the little felt piece in the door handle disappeared. I dug through my shop-vac and couldn't find it anywhere.

Admittedly I haven't searched yet but any idea where o could get a replacement?

Just added the V1 billet shift knob from our own TW member 7r41lbr34k3r. Looks great and fits great. Just needed 1 yellow shim and it fit perfectly.

The "all the glitters is not gold" reminds me of a recent fraud case. I inspect parts and contracts from vendors for the DoD. A couple of years ago I received some suspect bronze pipes. After a little bit of handling the bronze started flaking off. Then a magnet stuck to it. Bronze paint on cast iron pipes. The taxpayers paid heavily for that. The vendor was already paid and shop was history. So your point is valid.

Very MINOR accessory (upgrade): I was browsing eBay the other day and saw this:

"BRAND NEW TRD Carbon Fiber Car Center Console Armrest Cushion Mat Pad Cover" $10.88 w/free shipping

On a whim I ordered one figuring at that price is would be a POS but WTF I would just trash it if I didn't like it. Received it in a couple of days and was PLEASANTLY surprised with how it looked and fit on the console lid. It's about 3/4" thick and adds a comfortable pad to rest your elbow on. Installs in less than a minute and does not interfere with the opening/closing of the console lid. I don't work for whoever sells it but just thought some TW members might be interested. If you are, just go to the eBay "auto parts/accessories section", type in the year/brand/model/trim of your vehicle and you will find it along with TRD/Tacoma mats, skid plates and on it goes....

    Have a Blessed holiday season...

Unfortunately whenever money is involved things like that happen. It's a shame too because there are so many others that do things on the up and up. It pays to be skeptical at times. I hope whoever buys that Toyota actually drives away with a real gem.
