Yep, they managed to eff-up my TRD skid plate while doing a 10k service. They didn't even rotate my tires. New skid plate is arriving tomorrow.

to this day my skid plate on my 07 xterra has two bolt holes that i had to fix with a tap because of the idiot dealer over tightening or mixing up the bolts as there are 2 screws and 4 bolts from way back in 2008 when i took it there for oil changes....

so you could have just waited until the rear brakes wore down and the issue would have gone away

I also have a Mexico 11/18 DC OR with the same vibration. The drums have been turned once and replaced once. Still vibrates. I was told the axle shafts were in spec, but I don’t think I’d trust the foreman to fix a sandwich after discussing this issue with him.

I hope the pushrod fixes the problem, I’m skeptical though.

Please report back in a couple thousand miles to let us know if that’s it.

yeah, not sure if adjusting the linkage fix was serious either.

Well I think they nailed it with the pushrod, but time will tell. I will say the truck does not nosedive excessively anymore like it did before (which I thought was a characteristic of OR shocks) and the pedal isn't super touchy like it was before (which I thought was a characteristic of the truck).

I hate to say, the vibration returned, so Toyota bought the truck back.

    just an update-

immediately after the last tire rotation at 10,460 miles, as well a both diff fluid changes and xfer case fluid change, the vibe is gone! drove 400+ miles since with zero vibes!

why ? i have no idea. perhaps something on the back tires but it vibed right before the last rotation before this one and the rotation had no effect on the vibration- as I recall.

    time will tell.

i do know that this rotation, the lugs haven't backed off a little as most cars i have done, do. i usually check after a spin around the block, then after 50 miles, then after 100, 300. They usually stop moving after the 50 mile check. same torque wrench. 83 ft lbs...

who knows... will update if/when it comes back.

same psi in tires btw too.
