What 'issues' does the 3.5L AT need to have before it gets a TSB flash and what does the flash resolve? My AT wants to slip for a couple of seconds at startup. Then it 'catches' into 1st and it's still a little funny into 2nd, then it's alright. This is on level ground at work on the way home and since I work at a school I have to go super slow in the parking lot. In the mornings I really can't tell because we live on a hill so I have to goose it little more than normal to get going at a normal takeoff speed. Anyone else have this tiny annoyance? If it makes any difference, I'm at about 1800 miles.

Other than that, the AT seems to be shifting right. I got a combined 24.4 mpg on 220 miles of mixed highway and city traffic the other day with several stops at traffic lights, stores, etc (in D, w/o ECT). I didn't notice any 'slippage' after it had been thoroughly warmed up but then I wasn't taking off super slow either. So, maybe all is fine?

The hometown dealership said there are no notices after I gave them my VIN today, but they're going to look it over Thursday morning.

    Read the tsb.
Go in and say you experienced those symptoms on your trip to Colorado (the trip to Colorado is very important) .
    ?

Mine does the same thing when cold. Its a common occurence. Annoying yes but not a big issue from what i have read. My auto is up to date on the latest flash and other than this it shifts very well. Its a 16 with 58k on the clock.

These transmissions get a bad rap but there not that bad. If it bothers you that much push the issue to your dealer or just let it warm up for a few extra minutes.

No to both. We're the highest point around, 371' above sea level, and there's nothing to note at highway speeds.

Thanks to all. It may just be due to extra caution starting off so slowly and having more time than usual to notice the sounds and shift points.

My 16 would go into reverse fine but then stumble for a second or 2 when put in drive. I told them I was concerned about this being a safety issue and they were more than happy to "flash" it or whatever you want to call it. Safety was the correct wording to use. No other problems for the last 3 years.
