    Christine! I've seen the movie and read the novel on which it was based; I think I have the movie on DVD...

    I gave my truck a woman's name, and it did unintentionally total a Mercedes once, but it's never killed anybody that I'm aware of!

    @shakerhood

    In 2015 or so, I hit (and presumably killed) a bird with my mom's 2013 Nissan Murano; No damage to the Nissan...

    Birds have a bad habit of flying into my vehicles, I even had one get stuck in the grille of the truck.

    Some of my favorite movie and TV vehicles (not listed in order)...

    @shakerhood, I'll bet you can't identify at least one of these vehicles!

    Have you ever been hit by a drunk driver?

    I can't think of any people off the top of my head who have been involved in an accident caused by a drunk driver, but I got hit by a drunk driver in 2015; $2,200 in damage to my Taco! Seems like getting involved in a minor accident with a drunk driver that doesn't result in serious injuries and/or both vehicles getting totaled is relatively uncommon...

    Didn't you hear that story?

    The guy was a 70-year old man who had killed somebody while driving drunk in the late 1980s.

    Surprised it was so short because he was obviously a repeat offender.

    The prosecutor was ready to bring me in as a witness and put me on the stand; The old fart had a valid Florida driver's license, and Florida has reciprocity with Pennsylvania when it comes to DUI offenses. The guy hired the best lawyer in Bucks County, not knowing that this lawyer owned the bar where I worked. Sir Drinks-A-Lot wanted to get his license back quickly through Pennsylvania's accelerated rehab program, but the prosecutor wouldn't go for it because of his previous offense. The statute of limitations had run out with regards to being able to charge him based on the previous offense since it was like 30 years earlier, but the prosecutor was still able to deny him a reduced license suspension. He also got 40 days in county jail, to be served on weekends presumably due to his fairly advanced age...

    The Fall Guy had a cool lifted GM truck, and Simon and Simon had a Dodge Powerwagon.

    Here's rather understated car from one of my favorite childhood movies, Beethoven's 2nd...

    The 1992 Mercedes 500SEL driven by Debi Mazar's character!

    @shakerhood

    Beethoven is a movie about a St. Bernard, named after a famous composer. The first movie was released in 1992, and took place in Southern California in the year it was made...

    Despite the fact that the family lived in a relatively expensive area, and the fact that the father owned an air freshener company, the family vehicle was a 1983 Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser...

    [IMG]

    The mother typically drove the station wagon, and the dad had a 1990 Chevy Lumina Euro...

    [IMG]

    Again, this movie takes place in 1992 so the Lumina was fairly new, but they should have made the family vehicle a 1991 Mercury Colony Park wagon (the last year they made them) and put the dad in either a 1990 Camry or a 1990 Maxima...

    My Parents had a large Pontiac Wagon when I was small but they didn't keep it very long cause it was too expensive.
