Need some feedback. WHEN I replace my current 5VZ-FE, what mods would y'all make to the new engine for more power/torque before it gets dropped in? Or drop in a V8?

Hyper9 should have enough torque out of the box if you're looking to do a motor swap.

Is this a simple stand-alone electric motor?

What would bolt-up relatively easy? I know a V8 and a TC diesel would be awesome BUT I am also looking at ease of hookup.

Are there modifications that can be made on a stock 5VZ-FE that will produce more HP and torque?

While it is not practical (like Tesla truck), it is very modern solution and "green": hybryd and diesel at the same time. You diesel lovers should like it.

Yeah this would be way better if it looked stock, but my guess is the original suspension was not up to the task of handling all that torque and weight.

Is there a reason to replace your current engine block? If you want more power/torque with your current 3.4L engine block, the Magnusson supercharger http://www.magnusonproducts.com/ was something that I was looking at. There are a few owners here who have this set up installed & running on their trucks.

The 2UZ V8 engine block is nice, but would require customizing the engine mounts and a number of other things to accommodate an engine of that size and the electronics & ECU wiring harness/etc.
