I am guessing they are to pump out the water. There are some on the other side too ending at the bottom of the hole.

Dry soil conditions are needed for this job so the hoses you see are attached to individual wellpoints used for pulling ground water out and pumped over to a storm drain.

The rig you see at the bottom of the pit is a horizontal auger which is a major part of a Jack & Bore job. We're building an underground concrete-encased electrical trunkline and need to cross under a railroad track that's nearby. Since it's so close, this type of construction is a more secure way of boring underneath it.

After sending this pic, turns out that there's still water a third of the way up from the bottom of the casing. More wellpoints are being driven down now so it may not be until Monday before we're good to go....again.

to fix a flat:
remove wheel
remove tire from wheel
install spare tire on wheel
pump up tire from onboard air supply
bolt wheel on studs
put away tire irons, jack, etc.
