Does anyone have a source or how to on if there's a way to switch my heritage grill to a pro grill and have a spot for the front camera on my 2020 OR?

So here's the thing, the radar behind the logo should be calibrated when you change the grills, but thats minor.

When you change the grill with the forward camera, you have to calibrate the camera angle, or it garbles up the 360 view. Calibrating the front camera is AWFUL.

I would leave it, Toyota has no instructions currently how to change the O/R to TRD Pro grill.

i appreciate it. i just picked it up this evening so i havent seen it in daylight yet but i think it surprisingly doesnt look as bad as i imagine it'd look in person. maybe because its not so chrome heavy like the earlier years. but i was just wondering in case i ended up wanting to swap it.

I had the chrome heavy 2016, the heritage grill didnt exist but I changed it to a SR grill before I even took ownership. I know what you mean...

But that forward camera is awesome. I've always wanted it for solo trails. Especially going uphill you don't know what the hell is going on.

Quite a few things at this point..
Swapping out the grille is a piece of cake and should only take 20 minutes tops, tons of YouTube videos. I went from an OR grille to a Pro grille and no calibration is necessary if your sensor garnish is genuine. And Toyota only doesn't have instructions themselves because the Pro grille is technically exclusive to the Pro, which is why you must have a Pro VIN number to buy a genuine Pro grille and sensor garnish.

You will most likely still have to deal with front camera. I've got a 19' so no 360 view to mess up.

literally the post is about the camera, he's not asking about how to change the grill.

Yeah with the 2020 camera nothing is out yet on how to calibrate it (the sensor yes that’s easy to recalibrate) but no manufacturer has come out with a way to swap grilles for the 2020 front camera that comes stock on them. Honestly the 2020 OR grille looks really good I like that it’s a little different than all the pro grilles running around out there

Lol and I almost bought a MGM but almost every vehicle I’ve owned has been about that color. I decided to change it up a bit

He asked about both swapping the grille and a place for the camera, no need to be a dick when even you mention swapping the grille and was wrong about certain aspects about it, I'm just helping to clarify those things to them.

I'm not saying you CAN'T get them without a Pro VIN, but when it comes to Toyota they want the VIN before selling you the part. Also, I was able to order without a VIN as well, just took getting a hold of the right person as most dealerships around me wanted the VIN. I'm just warning the OP that there could be some slight difficulty....

I'll post in another thread if no one knows, but is there a reason for the dark shaded V shape at the top of the 2020 camera view?

I’d only think it was due to some safety regulation to make people actually look out the windshield to drive versus relying on the camera

They can be added to the screen to cover camera limitations that could be distracting or misleading from the image stretching and what not.
