Lifted ~ 3” Icon coilovers, regeared — noticed a new noise that sounds like a humming or vibration that occurs only when coasting between 25-40mph, RPMs < 1500. The noise repeats about 1x/second. It’s very subtle — really only appreciate on smooth roads.

Just a bit concerned since I’ve done no new mods to drivetrain/suspension for like 18 months and this is new. Dealership can’t find anything wrong. Checked diff fluids which were clean. Any thoughts from the hive?

I’ve got some big trips planned soon and don’t want to be stranded way off the grid....

Did you install the ECGS bushing?

If not, does the vibration go away if you engage 4wd?

In that case, you should probably install the ECGS bushing as the stock needle bearing is likely the issue.

It’s the needle bearing. You lifted the truck... get a ecgs bushing / needle bearing eliminator.

Is that ecgs bushing hard to install yourself?

It's a medium difficulty job. Watch plenty of videos and how to threads. If you installed your own suspension, you can handle it.

Ps. Don't be lazy, top off or drain and refill your front diff. When you pull the axle out, some diff fluid leaks out.
