Rained all day yesterday, all night, and until about 10 this morning. I was in stand from about 10:30-5:10. Had to get down early because of prior commitments.

Really thought they’d be moving as soon as the rain quit, but didn’t see anything until about 2:40. Had 6 little yearlings come waltzing in. Then a 3 point at 4:40. Then 3 more does at 5. When i got down, several ran across a road bed I was watching. Couldn’t see what they were. Then on the way out I jumped one of the biggest bodied deer I’ve seen this year. Don’t know what it was, but the body was gigantic. Wish I could have stayed in stand until dark.

The rain finally stopped yesterday and the sun came out today. I gotta leave in an hour though cuz we got Christmas breakfast with the grand in-laws (I dont get how people dont understand how to schedule stuff either at like 11:30 or at night if it's deer season; how difficult is that?)... But ill be back this evening. Also sounds like ducks are flying good haha

Pulled my SD card this morning on a new camera I set up last week. Nothing!!!! Like zero pictures. :annoyed:

I did find a deer leg. And scoped out some new public land with a decent food plot. The biologist that runs the land told me that hardly anyone hunts the last two weeks on the season. Archery only. :woot:
