    Canada Eh!
Not at all. Like previously mentioned, the new LED lights do come standard on the Pro and Limited. There are many subtle differences between US and Canadian tacomas, such as how the Canadian Pros don’t get backup sensors while the US ones do.

Have you entered you VIN in the Toyota link above to see if your Off Road was speced with LED headlights.

That website is only accurate for US-destination vehicles. It does not apply to Canadian trucks.

I was wondering about that. It gives me no info when I decode my VIN.

I worked at a dealership in the frozen north (MN) and we bought a lot of parts from Toyota Canada cause Toyota US wouldn't sell things like block heaters to us. We also had lots of customers from Winnipeg and Thunder Bay etc that would call and have us ship stuff to International Falls so they could drive over to get US only parts. Toyota US seems to be just Toyota California.

It seems to me the Japanese make our Canadian neighbors get the short end of the stick. When I was into Hondas, the US spec Si was not avail in Canada. Instead their "Si" was our Ex model. So they never got to have a real Si. I'm not even Canadian and that ticks me off.

Ive seen multiple 2020's with the led headlights at various dealers and im in Alberta Canada. Not 100percent sure but the dealer probably should have offered them as an upgraded option

They are available on the Limited and Pro. They are not available as a dealer installed option.

Hey Jeff. When Toyota installs these headlamps into the trucks, do they have a new harness for the front of the truck or an adapter harness to put them in.

Toyota doesnt have harness to make those headlights work. Truck was either wired from assembly line that way or some mechanic hacked the harness which I really doubt.

    LS1 swap with nitros.
OP - does your window sticker call out the headlights specifically? If they are listed on the window sticker or brochures etc as LED I’d say you have a legit complaint.

If you get the adapter harness it should work just fine on a 2019.

As was said, the harness is different on trucks with the LED headlights. The factory uses a different harness for trucks with the lights.

Dealers installing them either need to buy an adapter harness from someone like the guy on TW, make their own, or rewire the truck. The lights are not plug and play and Toyota does not sell a solution to install the lights into a truck that didn’t come with them from the factoey.

Any difference between the 2020 PRO headlights from the US vs. Canada?

I just want to make sure that I meet the spec to drive my truck legally in Vancouver BC. Thanks a lot for sharing all your knowledge with the rest of us.

    Canada/US headlights are the same.
