Rubbing of my 285/75/16

    4 Wheel Part$ can do it - they do that on all the Tacos that they lift to sell out of dealers. But pretty much any 4x4 fab shop can do it. It's not rocket science. But you want a practiced hand at welding to make a neat job of it.

    "4wheelparts" i dont know about them working on my truck, too many horror stories from other guys on here

    I have an OME heavy kit on my Taco. When I replace the stock tires, I want to replace them with 285/75/16 BFG MTs. I will replace the factory wheels with Wheeler's steel wheels with 4" of backspacing. I have been told that this setup will be fine and rubbing should not be an issue...is this correct?

    1st post here by the way...

    Get references for a good local shop when you're at Gorman.

    just got home from a friends house he helped me remove the spidertrax well hold the flashlight while i did everything. lol. i was rubbing about 1/4" with spidertrax on and now im not rubbing at all on full turn. it has about 1/4"-3/8" clearance!!! will post up spidertrax up for sale soon lol

    I had my Cab Mounts chopped just in case...so when I run the 285s I won't have to worry about it :D

    I had Off Road Unlimited do it out here in Scottsdale and the charged me 90 bucks

    after wheeling tomorrow i may go back to my stocks already noticing a decrease in mpg.
    plus dont want to chop mounts as i plan to lt the front in april or so.
