    OP, how much free play do you have in the steering wheel with engine off and wheels on ground? The spec is 30 mm right-left.

    Move the intermediate shaft one spline opposite of the direction noted while driving. Also have someone follow behind you to see if the truck is dog tracking. That would also indicate that the front isn't in line with the rear. My guess one of those will fix it.

    Update.
    The upgraded poly bushings made the torque spec different, so I need to really tighten down the 2 bolts that hold the rack in place to crush the bushing enough to hold the rack. All good now.

    Always glad to see one figure out their problem. Did you torque it to a specific amount it just wrench it tighter? I see mine with a seepage slow leak so I know I’ll be doing the same at some point and figured I’d also do the bushings. Leaks usually don’t slow down or stop.

    I didn't check what I had to crank it down to in order to "crush" the poly bushing enough to hold the rack in place...maybe another 3 complete turns beyond mfg spec torque. Honestly, if I had to do it again I would just stick with the rubber bushing. Getting the mfg ones out is a real PITA and now this issue.
