Please don’t encourage him! We all need to pretend he’s invisible and maybe he will go troll another forum!

On paper, sure... have you owned a Ford before? My family was a huge Ford fanboys, my last Ford was a 2018 F150 Lariat that I traded for my Tacoma. I did look at the Ranger.. hard and even negotiated a deal with my long time dealer (over 20 years doing business with them) but every time we got the reliability and fit and finish pros/cons the Tacoma came out on top by a very large margin.

To me it is about personal (family) experience, I was the last of my family to make the change.. a hold out hoping Ford would decide to build something that would not fall apart in two years. You think Tacoma has a lot of "issues" go to a Ford forum or check their recalls/TSB's.

Paper is awesome if you are an engineer but I am not, I am someone that will own/operate that vehicle daily, hard and it needs to work... every time without things breaking. Our families first Tacoma was in 95 with my Dad, followed closely by my two brothers and finally my sister 2011.. I held out for another 9 years. Not a single problem amongst them (no one got the 2016.. I think people have complained specifically about that year on here).

I take it you had an issue with your Tacoma?

x2 on the comfy seats. And it was a snappy ride with that turbo. The Info-tainment system stinks. It looks like it is out of the 90's compared to the nice smooth glossy screen of the Tacoma. Test drove 2 Rangers but still felt the Tacoma was a better truck all around.

You did not find them too hard? I test drove a Ranger Lariat with leather seats and found them to be uncomfortable after awhile.. not as bad as the Colorado.. I swear those seats are made out of rock.

I have drove my Tacoma (leather) for a 800 mile round trip last week and found them to be comfortable the whole ride.

I test drove XLTs with cloth and they were firm but the seating position was very comfortable.

Do you have a 2020 with the 10 way adjustable seat? Just curious is all, just seeing if I was perhaps too picky as I had a gripe with the Ranger to begin with as the shiny black plastic interior on the Lariat, imo, looks incredible cheap.

Wish I had the 10-way adj seat but the rebates and cash back on 2019's back in Sept were just too inviting....

I was at a Halloween party once when the Jehovah Witness folk came to the door. We were all dressed up as ghouls and goblins and these folk are trying to hand us a pamphlet.

Somehow this reminds me of that.

I feel pretty fucken buzzed!! I feel like rangers and there owners suck D. Mostly because 99% are soccer moms. I think Tacoma’s are the best truck to even be owned by me! And I feel happy that we are are going to wake up tomorrow and know our best gift is still sitting in the driveway!
