Weird cause there’s been less recalls on the Ford Ranger in its first year then the Toyota Tacoma 3rd gen in its first year.

That is weird. There’s also 1/10,000th as many on the road. But on the Ranger forums equal to more complaints.

I think the interior is exactly the same as the Tacoma. Cheap plastics ha ha. Ford Sync system is awesome and way better with Apple Car Play and Android Auto. Plus the remote start with the Ford app has been my favorite feature. Starting the truck from my phone or Apple Watch on cold mornings is amazing. Yes, the screen is pretty bland compared to the glossy Tacoma’s but it doesn’t bother me.

It still bugs me that the rear seat doesn't fold flat. That's a feature I use in my 12 year old Nissan - along with the 6 soeed manual, 4 wheel discs, excellent cup holders, salsa holder and kick ass cargo tie down system.

I think a ranger may not be for me.

I follow a guy on YouTube called YBS Youngblood’s and he’s a Aussie and ford gave him a Ranger and he gave it back and said it was fine but it’s better suited for a soccer mom than someone who actually goes off-road and he’s back driving his older Landcruiser.

Funny cause I’m sure he’d say the same thing about any new vehicle for off roading. Can’t beat the old stuff for off roading.

Also, for the record I thought about a new Ranger before buying my 17 TRD Sport DCSB. I was reminded about how much I dont like new Fords.

    Another one for the record....
I will not buy a new Ford unless it is Mustang GT or better IE; SVT, Roush Or Henesy

I honestly feel that way about most modern vehicles. Gimmicks have taken the place of actually useful improvements and the prices have gone through the roof.

Dude, everything about the Ranger interior is bland. Ford totally phoned it in with the whole damn truck...

ha ha and the Tacoma isn’t?? There’s literally no difference. In fact the 3rd gen Tacoma is pretty much the same as the 2nd gen just with a few subtle differences. My point being most mid sized truck interiors are very basic. Just hop into a new Ram and see the difference.

The 3rd Gen was sculpted and finished by gods hands himself. Ranger looked like a blind art class drop out designed it :rofl:

Also unfair bringing the Ram into this. If Toyota cut 75% reliability too they could add so much more shit to go wrong!

By first year you mean 2015 right? As what we have in America has been used internationally since 2015, it is not new..

Hey if you like the Ranger, go for it. However if you read the whole post you will know I come from a long line of first hand experience in Fords.. you are not going to sway me on Ford "Built Tough" bs. Unless they are tough to build, maybe they mean that.

Better watch what you wish for. Designing mediocre truck exterior is preferable to invading Poland.
