First let’s start fresh. Merry Christmas my brothers!!

so... I’ve been thinking about pedal commander/sprint booster or OV tune for better throttle response and to eliminate the lag/dead spot in the acceleration. My only concern is how it will effect the long term reliability of the truck as a whole. I understand generally speaking if truck A is driven conservatively and truck B is constantly pushed to its limits via racing or towing or even extreme off-roading, truck A should get to 300k without major repairs were as truck B will most likely be in need of more replacements and or rebuilds. One safe mod is exhaust. Of course I did it for tone not the mythical HP and torque. I got magna flow with a increase pipe diameter catback and a 45 exit vs 90.
Then I came across TOYOTA TRD exhaust page and saw a meter showing stock vs performance exhaust and how much more performance HP and torque you get. What a RIP OFF.
IF that was the case why does the Tacoma TRD pro trucks have the exact same specs as non pro when it comes to HP and torque. Am I missing something or confused? Or is this just a huge scam to trick people into thinking more noise, more POWER

The TRD Pro is a trim package. It is not a different model.

Since there is nothing on any street truck that was birthed in the TRD program, even the stickers are misleading.

So don't be shocked about at the pretty boy stuff they are selling to go with it.

I will say the TRD exhaust on the v6 is the only one I've heard I care for. But not enough to spend the money. If I had 4 extra lugnuts and 2 extra cylinders.

I have a TRD OR. I'm trying to think of what TRD parts come on the TRD packages besides decals....nada fucking thing.

I have installed the PC on my TRD OR. Yes, I feel a difference. No, it isnt mind blowing. The difference has been seemingly increased with the install of an aFe intake. I cant see any way whatsoever a PC will shorten the lifespan of the truck. It doesn't change any ECU settings; it only amplifies the wireless signal from the gas pedal to the throttle body. Its priced a little high for what it does, my opinion, but does make a difference.

Doesn't the OR come with an upgraded Rancho shock vs the standard model?

Yeah, you're correct about the shocks. Although, idk? I've never got under an SR to compare.
No actual TRD parts though....rims? Exhaust? CAI?....nada one of 'em

Side note. I didn't see anything in that site talking about the tacomas exhaust. Am I missing something?

I’m not sure if the throttle body was designed to handle that extra voltage
