    Told our son yesterday we’d go hunt today. I started getting leaves up this morning and my wife text me and said he told her he didn’t want to go. I get it, he’s 7 and wanted to play with his new Christmas gifts. Didn’t bother me, late this evening he tells me, aww man we didn’t go hunting. I said we can go tomorrow.

    She keeps telling me he only wants to go to impress me. I tell him I don’t want him doing anything to impress me, do what makes himself happy. We’ll see how that works for tomorrow, lol.

    I went through this with my kid. I told him the offer is always on the table if he ever wanted to go. He went twice. No big deal to me, just wasn't his thing.

    My son killed his first deer when he was around 15 and a turkey the same year . That was it for him ,he did not like killing animals. He is 32 now . Not a hunter
