If you ride a large frame, I am sure I would have my green aluminum frame for sale shortly after the rebuild.

I have 6 bikes complete and ready to ride, and another 2-3 frames just hanging around so I have to pair down a little now and move on from the seldom used. I just need to sort out the priority bikes and keep them.

Hope you don’t mind if I put in my .02 cents. When running it as a ss, I get a lot of chain slap. Even running a 34 tooth chain ring. I hear the aluminum version has more clearance at the chain stay. Besides that I really like the bike.

Let me know how those tires hold up for you. I used to run saguaros years ago but the last two I purchased both got punctured that stans would not seal in the middle of the tire. Never had a problem with them before that.

I was shocked and pleasantly surprised with their performance on this year’s DirtyKanza course. I was running the Terreno Dry in 700x35 and had zero burp, zero flats, and didn’t lose a single psi in either tire with no loss of confidence in handling. I really think there’s something to that graphene in the durability and grip.

I’m but a mere medium frame. Thanks though. Sounds like you have a good problem on your hands.
No, thank you for the feedback. That’s great info. I only run a one bike stable and adding another is purely a want, not a need. My oldest kid is beginning to learn to ride so I’m thinking of picking up something to piddle around in the driveway with her as she learns. I’m not married to the idea of SS or geared, nor the chameleon specifically. Primarily just a fun geo hardtail that can meet daddy duty and is capable on trail when I want to keep my primary parked.

I’ve been on the fence about what my next mountain bike will be...this is making my consider the REEB more and more haha
If you haven’t applied anything to reduce the noise, Scotch mastic tape is the shit. I saw it on GMBN I think and put some on my stache, no more noise from chain slap on the stays. They should sell it at any hardware store with the electric tape.

This mild winter we’re having hasn’t required winter gear in GA.

Yea I’ve always liked the chameleons. But I’m open to others too; Honzo, Stache, Nimble 9, etc. Debating whether I want to buy one complete, like the one previously posted. Or if I’ll go frame only and piece it together. Unfortunately I don’t have enough spare parts to make a complete, and I don’t have the tools or experience to do a build myself.

Yeah I’ve been debating that too. Frame or complete. I’ve got a decent amount of spare parts, I’d likely only need wheels and a fork...unfortunately the most expensive parts.

As much as I love my stache I’ve found that it’s harder to find 29+ tires, idk if that’s a huge deal to you but I can only think of about 5 or so options off the top of my head.

That is 1/2 of the reason I snagged the timberjack instead of a Stache.

I will stay,I have the XR4 team issues on my Fuel EX, and I love them(available in 29+ IIRC) Noticeable on when I have to cross pavement or concrete.. but...
    Excellent traction.

No one on PB is really trying to sell their bikes. But if you can swing it to 1k I wouldn’t pass it up. There is also a D+ build in bristol TN. It’s like new and stock.

Yeah I’ve got the 29x3.0 minions that I love but not everyone will be down for them. I might try the XR4 but if I remember correctly there wasn’t much weight savings unless I went xr2/chupacabra

I’m no buyer for that setup at $1700 but with you guys saying $1k, is the asking price really that far out of line? I was thinking $1200-1400 seemed reasonable :notsure: I’m not in a must buy scenario so I don’t mind making jerk hole lowball offers.

Just noticed the one in Bristol. I was using frame size as a filter and that one is a large. Good looking out though

Yeah I offered that guy 1k but he didn’t even respond to me. I was up in the Boone area around thanksgiving so I figured I would at least try. But no luck.
