Hence another reason why it's annoying -- some have it some don't. I noticed mine around 600 miles. It progressively got noisier and seemed to stabilize around 2000 miles. Comes on around 54 mph, stops at 59 mph... only happens on acceleration, not coasting.

You may have lucked out on yours, or it may not have set in yet. A few 2020 guys have reported the noise. There seems to be a certain configuration of the truck where it comes out... very common on TRD OR DCSB models, but I've also seen reports of it on SR, SR5, and some Pros.

Cross your fingers you don't get it! But if you do, its supposedly just harmonics (according to Toyota).

It could just be a case of not listening for it so did not hear it... kinda like you do not have an issue till you go looking for an issue and then you find an issue. If I do have it, it has not bugged me so I am going to blissfully continue with my ignorance on any noise ;)

To the guy running the Ford add. Of the last seven Ford F150's at work, They are constantly in the dealer for transmission and
Computer failures. All are personal vehicles that aren't even used for work. No one in the last ten years has kept one past the warranty
period because no on they thinks they can afford to keep them running. The Fords look and sound great but I won't be buying one until they start showing some reliability.

Ford does mass volume in Fleet vehicles because they are dirt cheap compared to the competition.

if I recall correctly the focus RS had some sort of coolant leak caused by the block design.

Huh? The Focus has a DCT (dual clutch transmission), basically an automated manual. It's a total disaster as you're well aware and a CVT would have undoubtedly been better from a reliability stand point. The Ranger has a traditional 10 speed automatic.

Only the Fiesta and Focus got the DCT. I'm not aware of any North American Ford with a CVT.

As far as reliability goes, I've had good luck with my Fords. My company F250 work truck has been solid. 220k so far, overloaded and treated like crap. Still has factory fluids everywhere. The only thing serviced on this thing is engine oil and it had a suspension replacement at 180k. Blows my mind that they won't pay for basic maintenance on it, but it's their truck and money so...

Something you’ll never hear “man, I regret selling my ranger”.

How many times I’ve read on here “I regret selling my Toyota”.

I regret selling my 1988 Toyota truck. Never had a ranger and don’t regret that :D

So where does one go to look at Ranger forums? I googled “Ranger forums” and about ten different forums showed up, all with low activity.

The best and most active Ranger forum is ranger5g. A lot of the same TW vendors are on there also. Got an awesome deal on my Icon Stage 1 kit.
