TRD Sport vs TRD Off Road

If money was no object, purchasing your Tacoma Brand new, would you rather have a TRD Off Road or a TRD Sport? I personally preferred the options that the Off Road has, but I wanted to post a poll and see how even they are..

 

OR Package. It actually offers something other than pretty decoration

 

Well I just bought a brand new trd sport double cab long bed, but thats because I like the hood scoop and color matched bumpers and grille. I like the off road options better, but the salesman at the dealership said the only difference was the suspension and the hood scoop. I wish I had researched a little more before biting the bullet, but damn i love my truck.

 

Hey man, it's not a total loss. I ordered a color matched grille surround from the dealer I liked it so much.

You couldn't pay me to put one of those scooped hoods on though.

 

If money was no object I'd have a Timberland Mica 4x4 TRD O/R double cab.

I want the e-locker. I could care less about the color matched stuff in the Sport. Really wish the hood scoop was an option with the O/R though.

 

I don't wheel my truck much at all , so the locking diff , while very impressive , wasn't a deal breaker for me .

What I really wanted was a DCLB manual , which wasn't available to me so I went with a Sport to get the longbox as I am a carpenter .

 

Long bed swayed my vote!!!! Get an ARB locker!!!

 

I think TRD Sport looks better than Off road. Besides, It is more likelly I will ride it in "sporty" mode on my daily drive than off road... besides, you can take the TRD SPORT off road anyday of the week.
Another reason I bought the trd Sport is because it is the only one that you can get with long bed. And LONG BED is something that I had to have.
With my 3 boys, I am so glad I got the long bed! I would have been sorry if I did not.

 

It makes my penis at least -1.8 inches longer. At least.

 

I considered that , but adding that much , I would need to buy shoes 3 at a time .

 

I want my same truck just in 4x4. Last time my truck was in for warranty work they asked me if i would trade in my truck I said find me the same thing in 4x4 and they couldn't do it so I said sorry bye bye

 

Yeah And you have to remember to rotate them every 5000 miles too.

I guess I didn't pay attention to all of Toyota's packages, but I don't think TRD Off Road and PreRunner should go together.. I didn't know that was an option. Please don't think I am making fun of you, if I lived in Florida, I doubt I would have 4x4 also.. In the area I live, we have about 95% 4x4. Came in handy when we got 7 feet of snow 2 years ago

 

I wanted a DCLB and the Sport was the only TRD package available. (Gotta admit the color keyed trim looks good)

 

A truck is useful on the street if you build homes to pay the bills .
