I agree 100%. You never know how long everyone has on this planet. Appreciate the time you have with your family.

Also, I figured you were Portuguese by your name. I am also a full blood Portugee but I never heard of a tradition like that. I know for my mom the holidays were very difficult for her for a couple of years as it was really tough on her since it was one of her brothers but we still celebrated the holidays.

Well the wife knows me all too well. Unfortunately, these are for the AT so will need to go back to the dealership and switch them out the correct ones.20191225_110807.jpg

I found the thread and picked up a set. I am looking forward to the vent replacements when those come out too. I switched my side mirrors out to an aftermarket version and the chrome reflection really show on them and I want it gone!

What's with people going with OEM LED 2020 headlights over the Retrofit Source ones?? Are they any better? Just trying to comprehend why they're spending the extra few hundred

    Merry Christmas everyone!

Appearance and likely the perception of quality. I personally don't care for how the TRS headlamps look. I don't like the triple projector look compared to either the 16-19 OEM units or the the new LED units. The DRL is dimmer than OEM and the high beams have been tested to be inferior to the stock halogen units, although the low beam is superior to the stock halogen units. I don't believe the 2020 units have been tested yet.

Although I'm sure TRS would disagree with me, I have to believe long-term reliability with the OEM parts would exceed that of the aftermarket units. I'm actively saving up and they'll be my next mod. I just with Toyota didn't put the dorky TRD / Pro logos on the Pro units. I much prefer the all-black look of the Pro units compared to the thin chrome strip on the base LED units, but I can't see myself running the lights with the Pro logo. I know I've already got the OEM Pro grille / fogs / skid, but I couldn't run something with a Pro logo when my truck isn't one. It's like running an STi logo on a non-STi. It's one thing to run the parts, it's another to run the logo. Maybe I'm elitist, I dunno. It's the same reason I can't run replica parts even though they're 90% of the part at 25% of the price.

wow, its been a long day, waking in Pembroke with my son and grandchild then going to Easton for dinner with at a Nice's house with all the other cousins, and that side of family and then off to Foxboro to my brothers house to see him and my sisters family, for dessert....
My sisters son and wife and 1 yr old flew in from the west coast for a week, so it was great seeing them..

But, it is good to be home!

I’d like to see testing on the LED OEM lights before dumping the cash. I’m trying to de-chrome my truck and wanted to upgrade my headlights while I was at it. I don’t care much about the logo I just want to get my money’s worth if I’m spending that much more, you know? Hopefully someone will do a comparison between the two

I was in Easton yesterday as well. Probably the last Christmas there since my parents are about ready to move to the cape full time.

I agree, the TRS ones have NOT been well received from what I've read, and I learned the hard way on my old truck, don't mess with crappy aftermarket electronics.

I am hoping for 2021 they have a slightly different pro light, without the pro marker. I want the blacked out look though, and don't want to pull apart new lights to paint etc... Or maybe they will make a "venture" edition Taco and we could pull lights from that?

Happy to see plug and play wiring is already coming out though, so when I pull the trigger, it will be an easy installation.
