Best Places to Mount/Balance wheels

Just wondering where you guys go to get wheels mounted/balanced. I have to take my old tires and tpms off and onto my new wheels. Located near Bothell Wa.

 

Depends on where I buy the tires. Usually discount tire or Costco. Redmond tire pro's have served me well also.

 

I bought the tires from Ebay a year ago so not so sure on that

 

Just went to the Bothell Discount Tire by Thrashers corner like 2 weeks ago. Old rims & tires removed, tpms transferred to new tires & rims. Mounted & balanced. Did a great job! Seemed very busy, having an appointment helps

 

How much did they charge you if you dont mind? That's right down the street from me

 

In Tacoma the DT store quoted me $140 to do that job.

 

$76 + another $15 in different fees. The tires I bought from Discount so they might charge more if you purchased the rims & tires elsewhere?

 

Ya I bought the tires from ebay, and the wheels from 4wp @Bigheadtinyarms might know about mounting fees.

 

Not terrible, but still pricey

 

Went to the discount tire in Northgate before and they did an okay job, but broke one of the TPMS sensors.

 

Yikes, did they replace it for you?

 

80$ for a set of 4 tires mounted and balanced

 

Same price if I want to re use my old tires? Ie take off the old rims and put my old tires and TPMS on the new wheels? I'll be sending you a PM in a few days, my dad bought two of my wheels from your store and I need to buy two more.

I've been to this store several times, as I live just up the road. They do great work and are very friendly. Costs $20 per tire to mount and balance. Assuming no other disposal fees are required.

 

Hmm, that's the same price as 4wp, guess I'll have to tell the girlfriend though, she still needs to buy new tires for her wheels

 

One thing worth noting is if you have spacers or not.

I've been to Discount Tire twice in South Seattle/Burien:

-First time they had zero issue re-balancing my wheels with bolt-on spacers and even mentioned that they retorqued them for me.
-Second time (most recent) when I had my new wheels and tires installed, they removed my spacers without even talking to me about it (I was sitting in the waiting room for 80% of the time) then after the fact said it was "company policy" to not work on vehicles with spacers. This was after I had already paid them $1100 for the tires and service. I explained that this was news to me and asked where that policy was documented (no documentation was provided). They did end up reinstalling my spacers after all of this, but candidly it should never have been an issue and moreover had I known that it was I would have most likely taken my business elsewhere. Hoping that this was just an off day for them given my other experience, but who knows?

So where have you guys gone that haven't worried about spacers?
