Gas prices are what the politicians and OPEC say they are. It’s not a free market with oil so usual pricing pressures don’t apply. They have some effect, but not the full power of an open market.

Never another ford. Had a 98 f150 4.6 . Good engine. The rest of the truck including the body in terrier suspension brakes all of it were junk

I've learned to live with the vibration-on-deceleration issue, chalking it up as characteristic to the old school driveline.

And the rattle in my driver's door came back (after being fixed once by the dealer).

When I start to wonder if the grass is greener, this is always a good stop:

    https://www.ranger5g.com/forum/forums/issues-repairs-warranty-tsb-recalls.29/

Wonder if TacoBella hangs out there?

    Haha!

Well honestly, i do not regret selling it, im happy i did. I paid 13500 in 2011 and sold it for 8000 7 years later. Im happy i sold it in time and got good money for it. I kept it in very nice shape, im very anal about my trucks.

I do miss it a lot tho, had lots of trips and fun in that little guy. I did abuse it quite a bit and it never let me down, i did all my maintenance on time with quality products of course. The biggest thing that i miss is that it had instant throttle response and nice thick steel bumpers stock.

If they offered newer models with similar bodystyle, 4 doors and 5 spd, i would buy it in heartbeat.

Merry christmas everyone and happy new year!:santa:

Had to throw in a pic of course...

kinda like the same page for Tacoma’s? I swear people are dumb sometimes. There are no perfect trucks sadly. Even though I’ve had issues with my past two Toyota trucks that doesn’t mean I wouldn’t purchase another one in the future. It will prevent me from getting another turd gen though.

When I changed brands of vehicle I never really looked back. It's nothing personal.

I will say the VW water pumper crowd has the most soys. I liked the cars, but fuck is that crowd just a stick the mud.

I’m not looking back at all. Just sharing my thoughts and opinions on the Ranger with one of the best forums out there. This thread is talking about Rangers so sharing my actually based opinions.

The post about a windshield crack after hitting a pothole made me laugh because my 97 ranger did the same thing going over a railroad crossing. Cracked right down the middle.

The rangers with the black wheels don't look too bad once you add a level and a set of oversized tires. I'd drive one. Of course my first Ford choice would still be an F150 with the larger ecoboost.

I included a few a couple pages back. Just waiting for my icon set up to get here and Raptor grill lights! I’m thinking Of possibly starting a build thread on here for others to follow to see the trials and tribulations of owning a Ford.

Standard intermittent wipers, standard lighted mirror visors, and standard keyless entry. WTF Toyota?

I didn't know Tacomas had such a fanbase before I bought it. I'm kind of proud that I bought it because I genuinely thought it was a solid vehicle. I was looking at all the mid-size puckups (leaning away from the f-150 though because I've heard it has a lot of problems) and I literally just saw an 89 corolla driving around one day and was like "Those things last forever I'm gonna buy a Tacoma." I wanted a pickup so I can do big side jobs, I'm a plumber, and aside from the annoying little ticks the thing has I really do love it and I think its gonna last a long time if I take care of it.

That's a horrible idea. What time?
The problem with the I4 in the Focus (& Fiesta) is that it doesn't generate enough power for the dry clutch. I never had an engine problem with my Focus's, it was all transmission related in automatics. I sarcastically asked for the ST manual trans to be put in. I was kindly told no. Unless I wanted to pay for it.
