Why would anyone use an impact driver on that?! That just sounds like trouble

Motion Pro makes a great T-Handle/JIS bit set. I used it all the time on my older honda motorcycles (81 CB750 and '67(ish) CT90). They don't "torque out" like a standard philips and have a steeper sidewall so you can tighten them down tighter.

that will work you really do not want to do it fast and risk jumping into the gas door itself. Stuff a paper towel behind the screw and some penetrating oil and let it sit overnight. Find a penetrating oil that will not ruin your paint. a small amount of transmission fluid or marvel mystery oil works real good.

So we should go ahead and classify our US Phillips in the same category as the flat heads? JIS FTMFW?

I believe they are referring to this

For the best fit you can buy the JIS bits.
Or do like most people and find the one that fits the best in the kit.
    And proceed to step BFH.

Don't by a drill from harbor freight. My baby mama bought me one for my birthday and the actual battery warped horribly on the first charge. I didn't throw it away cuz I didn't want to hurt her feelings. The first hole I drilled into a stud and the motor started to smoke.

If you put vice grips on it it should crack the screw loose. I don't know why that screw is on harder than the lug nuts.

would a manual transmission care if it were in neutral down a hill like this?
to avoid being in 1st gear automatically raising revs to speed up too fast and risk flying off the cliff,
vs coasting in neutral and braking

I believe in certain manual cars it's not advised to move in neutral because there's a gear oil pump inside the transmission that has to be spinning in a drive gear, to lubricate the bearings
so they say not to tow those cars in neutral with wheels on the ground

For starters I wouldn't go down a hill offroad in neutral in the first place to avoid having to stress my brakes and risk an accident. 4lo/1st gear is where it's at if it's steep.
But rolling in neutral shouldn't hurt anything....if it does then I've been playing with fire for years lol.

Aux back up lights, Bed lights, Re-located trailer plug, Good dooby, a.k.a. jumper cable mod, Heated seats, back up camera,
Try a Reed prince screwdriver. It's like a Phillips, but it's pointed instead of blunt like a Phillips

How do you remove the fuel door? The bottom door clip is broken off my new (to me) '13 Taco, and I'm pulling my hair out trying to find a way to remove and replace the door.

Pretty sure there are a couple of rivets that need you need to gring/cut off.

Does that mean I'm looking at needing a rivet gun to install a new door?

    Yes
Or this. Just be careful not to hit the fuel neck.

Yep, big pop rivets. The center of it is hard steel. To drill it, you have to pound the center out with a punch. If it seems like you're pounding hard enough that it's going to bend the sheet metal, stop pounding and use a die grinder to grind the outer edge of the head away.

For putting it back, I used stainless button head allen bolts and non stainless nylock nuts. Since I have an '06, it was easy to remove the bed cubby to access the back side. Since you have a '13, you don't have the bed cubby hole. You'll need really long arms to reach from underneath. The other option is to just get your local body shop to rivet it on for you. It'll take them about 3 minutes.
