So, I just had these headlights installed. I am having some fitment issues with the driver side only. Light is mounted into factory mounting points. You cant mount it incorrect. I have a very noticable gap at the side marker corner, and the hood just about touches the light on the other side of assembly. (Near high beam)
I'll add there was not gaps or touching the o.e. headlights so I feel it's a mold issue as it is driver side only. Anyone else mounted these and had this issue? The Retrofit Source is closed till 1.6.20 so I'm going crazy till then.

Make sure all the adjusters are even on both lamps and the mounting points/bolts are sitting flush. If all is good then it’s a mold issue. Are these oem? Did TRS take them apart? Maybe weren’t put back together correctly?

These are complete assemblies that are replacing factory assemblies. All mounting points are flush. 1150 dollar headlights that I believe have mold issues. Its only the driver side. I'll patiently wait till the 6th to give the supplier a fair shot at making it right, so this is in way a bash post. Move to follow....

I agree. If the lights are aftermarket, there will be fitment the issues. Only OEM parts sit flush how it’s suppose to be. If these are OEM retrofits, they should sit flush unless they weren’t put back together properly.

Good luck getting ahold of them. Took me a week and 3 different emails/calls. Finally got the ball rolling on my warranty issue after they got some bad press on the forum from a few people in a thread that got locked down. Hopefully it doesn't come to that for you because your parts are about 20x more expensive.

Yeah, I'm not overly happy with fir for price. But, I'll wait to see how they react to an obviously bad mold before I leave any negative comment. This is the game with aftermarket regardless of price. Other than some fitment, they are very, very cool. To be continued.....

Thank you for being a reasonable consumer.

Can you post an overall picture of the good side? Curious to see these headlights.

This is an interesting one as I know several people have these installed with varying levels of "gap" from the post above all the way down to no gap at all. I actually just threw a set in and have a different fitment than yours but definitely more gap on the driver's side than the passenger side.

Lol, put some silicone on the gap.

The vast majority of people would never notice the gap, including other Tacoma owners. This is one of those things that I use the "wife test" for. I just ask her if she sees anything wrong with the "front of the truck" (or house, or car, or whatever I'm bitching about that day....). If the answer is no, I get over it.

I like your thinking but the build quality of the taco is so janky that I quit worrying about it.
