I cannot seem to find a YouTube video for this process. I got some fog lamps for Christmas for my truck. 2.7 4 cylinder 2015 pre runner. I am looking for a guide on installing them. I do not have fog lamps currently. So I don’t need the guide to bulb replacing. Which is all I can seem to find. Am I missing something? Anyone got advice or know what videos to look for? I even searched the forum and I don’t think I saw any threads in this? I also have to wire the switch into the cab.

If it is impossible? Please tell me. Lol.

Do you just have the fog lamps themselves?

2.7 trucks aren’t pre-wired, so you need a full install kit with harness, 2 relays, switch, etc.

I found this out the hard way. I thought our 2.7's were pre-wired. My other Mazdas and Toyotas were like that, just needed a new stalk and the fog assembly. Our trucks need the complete harness and relays as well.

Getting parts shouldn’t be an issue. What I’m wondering about is installation. Specifically DIY. Do you know of a video for that? Or a place to look?

If you’re familiar with electronics you could always purchase what connectors you need, a switch, and a relay, And then build your own harness.

Edit to add: or use a generic harness from eBay and change the switch to whatever you like

I put a pair of Spyders on my 13 Tacoma 2.7. They came with the harness and switch. I did put a fuse tap to connect to a power source with ignition on. Probably the hardest part is getting the wires through the firewall. I bought a small box to conceal extra wiring
