Watch: Suspect Allegedly Pistol Whips Store Clerk, Gets Shot Dead

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JqXDD7yfBaM

An armed suspect allegedly pistol whipped a store clerk days before Christmas and then got shot dead after the clerk retrieved a handgun.

The San Francisco Chronicle reports that two suspects allegedly entered the convenience store wearing dark clothing. The suspects split up, with one going behind the counter to allegedly recover cash from the register. In the process of doing this, he appears to pistol whip the clerk before yelling to his accomplice, “He got a gun, bro.”

The clerk was allegedly able to shoot the suspect during the struggle that ensued and the suspect was able to run out of the store before collapsing. Officers found him “on the ground near the store at the intersection of Lynbrook Street and Desanie Way.” He was pronounced dead.

The Contra Costa Sheriff’s Office identified the deceased robbery suspect as 31-year-old Michael Andrew.

    Karma...

No mention of the clerks gun being stolen, so maybe when he went to make sure the criminals were gone, he wasn’t going out there unarmed. :notsure:

He was probably someone else working, stocking in the back or something. They seemed like they knew each other and he knew the clerk had his own gun.

Just nice to see a robbery end in favor of the store. Let it be a lesson to crackheads out there to think twice...

Yea, I guess it could be that, but he stuck it in his pants. If he was going out there to make sure they were gone, I would think he would keep it in his hand ready to use.

That whole bit looks kind of shady. Did he shoot him with a silencer? The dude ran pretty fast for a dying man. Some other chump steals the clerks gun? WTF?

I'd be willing to bet the report of the shot was beyond what that cheap eBay camera microphone could handle. If you watch the paperwork on the wall around them you see the papers blow, I'm thinking that's from the muzzle blast when he fires while pinned under the robber.

The shot looks muffled from the body and with enough adrenaline they guy may have not realized how bad he was and amplified the wound. :notsure:

My step daughter got this cold tea from the market & decided to read the ingredients. We got a great laugh out of this (hopefully) typo.

The article stated the guy died right there in front of the store. I'm guessing he put it in his pants cause he saw him laying in the parking lot.

The news I saw said the second robber held the second worker in the back room during the robbery. Then second worker came out to check on the clerk after the shooting.
