well i almost had my mind made up on pro comp 7089's for my next set of wheels. then the other day a ran up on the 7189's. i didn't even know these existed. seeing the 7189's made me kind of second guess the 7089's. maybe the 7089's (all black) will be too much black with the blackwalll tire. and maybe the 7189's (same wheel, but with a machined outer lip) will break up some of that black up. but then again, even though it's not chrome, i am not crazy about the silver looking outer lip of the 7189. keep in mind that, i have a white tacoma and am kind of doing a "black and white'' theme. i know some smartass will probably post "you should make your own decisions," "this thread is wasting space, make your own mind up," etc. i'm just asking what you think will look better. thanks

You should get the kmc enduro 118 a piece but if its between the ones your choosing go with black everything always looks sexy in black

I soo want the 7189's for my mag grey, but Pro Comp don't seem to have the 17" 6 on 5.5 fitment needed for our trucks anymore . They have the right size for the 7089's but not the 7189's. Anyone know what's up ?

I e-mailed them a couple of weeks ago and no response.

ps: didn't meant to threadjack, but this is pretty much the perfect thread to ask my question

In that style, personally I like the "Knight Chrome" finish - 9089. And I also think that would look great with a white truck.

thanks for all the opinions everybody. the consensus is heavily leaning towards my original plan, the 7089's...

everybody with 16's in either of these, did you have any trouble with getting these on? i read in a few threads that some people with these had trouble getting them to work and had to trim or get a larger size. is that why so many people have these in 17's? or did ya'll just get 17's bc that was what was originally on your truck? i'm not sure what the deal with that is, but i'd hate to get a whole set and then they won't work. i personally want the 16's. some people said that the 16x9's didn't work, but the 16x8's would because they're not as wide, so they won't rub. i'm not sure. anybody?

also, while i'm asking questions, i haven't got around to new uca's yet. most people agree that you don't NEED new uca's with 3" of lift; they just help you keep in alignment, keep you from wandering, and take out some small vibes. so if i don't need them right now, i want to get them later. i would rather have my wheels first and then buy the uca's when i get a few more bucks in my pocket later on. any input?
