Go frame build, I'd be happy to help you get it built. It takes some time and patience, but it's satisfying knowing it's built by you.

The one in Bristol. He didn’t even bother to reply to me. So I think he took it as an insult. To be fair it appears to be like new.

I'm not sure what you mean by stay low - that trail was rather full commit from beginning to end. That one drop after the wooden feature was pretty gnarly

    The lead-in was sketchy

Only got one lousy pic of us doing it. It was probably 30 ft tall and 25 ft long

I may just take you up on that offer

Any one have any knowledge or first hand experience with the Canfield Nimble 9? They’ve always intrigued me and Canfield is taking preorders for the gen 5 version.

Also, can anyone school me on fork offsets (in layman terms)?

Lol, yes. If you rode that giant wooden feature it rolls into this drop which is the final feature on this trail-no bypass. You definitely didn't ride the trail - you would have noticed this. It was better than the lauded asphalt interstate downhill

I’m wanting another bike. A XC race bike. The thing is , I bought two bikes in 19. A 2019 Carbon Beargrease and 2020 Stumpjumper ST.

Sooooooo- I’ve been looking used, but this may have sparked my interest. I can get a set of carbon wheels from a project manager for a fair price too.

So, to my imaginary internet friends, what do you guys think about this?

    https://www.jensonusa.com/Marin-Team-Marin-Bike-2020

Keep in mind I’m a solid mid packer, but like frequency. I’ll never see a podium, but want to hit the entire local series.

My Beargrease is a NX Eagle Build and the Stumpjumper is a GX Eagle build.

Marin packs a lot of value. But as crazy as this may sound, have you considered the new Wal-Mart bikes? Great value and super XC focused

I’d stay away from that one. The description said it’s made for the podium, and you said you’ll never see the podium. I think you’re goals and that bikes breed are on different wave lengths :rofl::rofl:

My opinion; I think you could get more bike for a little more money new, or a solid performer for that amount.

if you’re a large frame rider, I’ve thought about selling my Yeti Bigtop frame. I’d let it go super low since I had it repaired at Calfee earlier this year.

SEEKING ADVICE: I am looking to pick up a 2019 Devinci Sabbath, but they are sold out everywhere and 2020's are a special order. I have found some screamin good deals on line on Pink Bike, but they are in Canada. Sellers state they will ship within the Continent, but still hesitant. Am I just setting myself up to get royal f'd or have others successfully bought through PinkBike Buy/Sell? Are there any safeguards in place like a PayPal secure system or is it simply buyer to seller and their choice of payment and shipment?

I’ve bought/sold a couple bikes on pinkbike. Never outside of the US though. In general it’s definitely a trust thing. I always take a look at their profile to make sure they have a history on pinkbike. I’m weary of people that create accounts with nothing on it. If they seem sketchy I move on.

I’ve used PayPal for almost all sales except for 3 local. Usually family/friends which isn’t the safest since I don’t think they will cover you if something goes wrong. You can either split the fees or eat the fees of a regular transaction on PayPal.

i have typically used UPS or fedex but I would likely use bike flights for the future. I think it would be a little bit cheaper through them.

as far as the Canada part, I have no idea between the exchange rate and any customs fees it may or may not be worth it.

Don't overthink it - Canada is easy. Pay for Goods/Services through Paypal, use Bike Flights for shipping, and enjoy the strong dollar. If the package does have customs issues (it won't) only the shipper is liable for the fees. Buying from Canada is easy

A phone call goes a long way to build trust in my experience. And a picture of the Driver's License

I'm a big fan of the 29x3 WTB Rangers on my Krampus. They're much lighter and roll faster than most of the other 3" options I've tried or seen, and they've hooked up well enough in the corners for me so far.
