If it’s just an High frequency issue, I would have let the owner use the machine in scratch start until the part came in to get the HF functional, rather than sitting on my racks during the lead time.

The HF (Harbor Freight ) machines are game changers.

I'm 100percent Miller, but after using and examining these units, I'm having a hard time finding a down side. I wish they were available 25 years ago when I was starting out

Just work for one ! Though most days it seems I get paid to tell End Users they should read the users manual.

Something you might want to Ask your Esab rep is all this time your machine has been sitting will it be added to the back end of your warranty ?

It might not mean much but the difference between a warranty repair and out of pocket can be a surprise.

Have you broke down and bought one yet ??

Funny How they look so much like the Lincoln machines almost like they were built on the same line.

I totally agree, I've actually been thinking about that.. Wouldn't seem right to me, if it wasn't credited back to my warranty time..

I talked one of my best friends into buying one. I've used it enough to know it is a great deal. I think the spool gun is better than my Miller 30A gun.

That is why your Esab rep needs to get involved !! In most cases it is not extended .

Just think if it was $30,000.00 plus machine in limbo from the first time it was used for 9 months

So.... am I nuts to consider buying a plasma cutter off Amazon?
I had this same thing last year where I ended up with a bunch of amazon gift cards from the holidays. I bought a welder last year and have been super happy with it for my little chickenshit projects.
Now I want a plasma cutter  Seems I've heard some decent things about Lotos on here? I see them on Amazon.

I'm gonna try to sell my current one and buy the LT5000D. I just don't know about warranty from Amazon regarding this type of equipment.

Plasma cutter gurus please chime in.
I've never used a pilot arc plasma. All I know is that you save on consumables.
