    Hey guys,

My entune radio keeps randomly resetting while I’m riding every minute or so. I’ve had the radio replaced by the dealership but that didn’t solve the problem. Very rarely, the radio doesn’t reset and works normally. I installed a led light strip into the interior fuse box, so I’m not sure if that could be the issue bc I used the fm/am resistor. It’s extremely annoying, and the radio is updated already but still doing that

Did the resetting begin after the light strip? If so, try unhooking the light strip. If you have your phone paired with Entune, try unpairing or turn Bluetooth off on your phone. Trying these two suggestions separately will help isolate what is causing the resetting issue.

The resetting occurred a few months after I did the light strips. And when the radio resets, the lights stay on

I would drive it a few times with the light strip unhooked from the interior fuse box to see if that eliminates the resetting.

You have to download the Toyota Entune App and update the software on your radio. Ran into the same problem a couple months ago. You could go to a Toyota Dealer but if your truck isn’t under warranty they will charge you for updating it... Let me know if that works!

Okay so I already had the entune app and wasn’t able to update it? Or it was already up to date

took to dealership and they said it needed to be updated. I asked how to do it myself and stated “only we can do it”

2 hours and before leaving I checked and problem still persisted. Advisor came out and tried to re-pair phone and truck went to update history and nothing was there. Dudes lied and didn’t update it. They took it back and another 1hr. it was back and updated and now it works (so far)

anyways. It updated Audio part from 01019A to 01019D
    Whatever that means

Technicians will tell you anything to make a buck lol. But when mine had the issue if I didn’t use Bluetooth it seemed to be fine.

Mine started to reset after adding a contact to my phone about a week ago. After searching high and low this is what finally fixed it for me:

Do the update on your Entune head unit - pretty simple - https://securedp.toyota.com/download-app/getUpdates Then update your phone (yes, this only happens with iPhones) to the latest IOS 13.3 as of this post. Next rename your phone - so that the Bluetooth is not the same as before - SETTINGS - GENERAL - ABOUT - NAME - I just removed the apostrophe. Now remove the old paired phone from your Entune and repair with the new Bluetooth name. Sync contacts when asked to do so. This fixed the problem for me.

Bluetooth menu on your phone turn of contact syncing and notifications.

    Worked on my truck.
